I wish Jason would say, "f*ck I REALLY wanted to do the task as well!!" or at least fight for it, but no, he pretends to be cool about it when its obvious he is disappointed to have lost out to Dean. That's my problem with Jason - hes too nice and this might cost him a chance of winning the show.
