I need advice re the title.
I believe from reading threads i have searched via google this is a contentious issue- where people cannot seem to agree as to which is best.
I wish to buy a portable games console to use when travelling on holiday, on planes etc.. especially when delays occur which did happen for hours on my last holiday
I am not interested in using the console for playing movies, music or for viewing photos. I only want this to play games.
Things i have heard about the DS Lite which i like:
1: lots of decent games. (i believe?)
2: the games are cheaper not costing a fortune
3: no game load up time - quick and more responsive than PSP
4: longer battery life
5: has protected screen
6: it is cheaper to buy
Things i dont like about the DS Lite:
1: poor basic graphics?
2: small screen compare to PSP
3: I dont think i would use the touch screen function
4: what is the point of two smaller screens?
5: games are more for young children and less involving?
Things i like about the PSP
1: nice large screen
2: decent detailed graphics
3: more games for adults?
Things i dont like about the PSP
1:games are expensive (i believe)
2:battery only lasts a short time
3: the memory cards are ridiculously expensive (what size memory card would i need to play games?)
4: there is a delay as game loads scenes? (i would find this irritating)
5: controls are not as confortable to play?
I had more or less decided to buy a DS Lite because from what i have read the DS Lite is more fun and has better games (whatever that means?)
But to throw a spanner in the works i have the oportunity to buy a second hand PSP for £60.00?
What should i do?
Games i have enjoyed in the past on my xbox and PS1: prince of persia, tomb raider, halo, stronghold, far cry, splinter cell, syphon filter (i dont like football/sport type or tekken duals). I dont wish to play these games / titles again but at the time they were released i enjoyed them. I have always fancied Zelda but it was not available on my consoles.

Other games like Daxter are clever, they hide the loading scenes behind door locks. As you walk up to a door to get to another part of the world you see the door lock moving, giving you the impression its unlocking itself. Even then it only takes 5-10 seconds to load. LocoRoco has very little loading times because its such a simple game.
