We already know that many experts feel that bungee jumping is bad for you, although most people seem to be OK doing it. However I was amazed that last night they made them do two bungee jumps in quick succession, and even more surprised and disgusted they made Lauren do it one after the other rather than give her a break.

Is it a surprise then that she feels she lost conciousness, and is it not a bit of a coincidence that whereas they all hit the target the first time, they all missed the second.

I think what they did was hugely irresponsible, especially changing the order in the second run.

The thinking is that Lauren did two jumpes back to back because of the weight ratio and the equipment having to be set differently for her than the other two.

That said, she should not have had to do two jumps so close together (although we're not entirely sure how much time was between each jump for Lauren). The others had more time to recover though and Phina in particular had a total of four jumps take place between her two, so I expected a bit more understanding for Lauren to be honest.

You should also beware of bungee jumping if you are prone to anaemia, as I am, if you have nose bleeds after sneezing for example, you could burst the delicate blood vessels in the eyes when bungee jumping, and I believe at least one woman had problems with way.

They should all have had a medical though, so those sort of things should've been picked up...but yu never know.

I thought that too, that it was too soon after her first jump, but with editing, do we really know how long it was?

Yes kewpee, I thought that it was because she was already in 'set' harness.
I did think Phina was out of order. Would a doctor really have given her oxygen if she didn't need it?

Also, Lauren has said she was terrified of heights.
If you add that to the pot I am not surprised she passed out.

Couldn't believe that Lauren had to do another jump - back to back. Thought they would've (and should've) gone back to Phina and Dean, and then Lauren. But, hey - makes more 'fun' when they don't win any food for the camp, doesn't it? NOT!!!!

I think it's only a matter of time, as the stunts get more and more elaborate (to keep the viewers fully sated), that there is a fatal accident. Remember Noel's Late, Late Breakfast Show? I think this show is utterly irresponsible.

What if a celebrity died during the task. People have died bungee jumping. Last year, Kimbery Davies broke her leg doing a jump from a helicopter.

On the main point, it does seem as if its not the best thing to do two and certainly not back to back.

however long it was, it doesnt seem to be a good idea to change the order just to save having to reset things.

I was surprised they did two bungee jumps in such a short space of time. Jumping just the once can give a shock to the body, let alone twice in quick succession.
