According The Sunday People

CASUALTY legend Ian Bleasdale is quitting - after 15 dramatic years as paramedic Josh Griffiths.

Mild-mannered Josh will be STABBED in a Christmas episode of the hit BBC1 soap.
Apologies if this has already been posted!

I agree, but I think the writing's on the wall for him. He's been quite miserable this series, and his exit seems to be in keeping with his current miserable attitude!

Good point. Plus he hasn't really had a storyline for a while.

But it's still sad

Oh my god! Josh is leaving! He's a Casualty legend! I hope he gets a good exit! Will he die from being stabbed?

Will this mean all the paramedics have left in the last year or something?

Next Charlie will go

Hmm. I'm a bit dubious. There's nothing on Holby TV (a very reliable website) and the People are the same website that claimed Phil Mitchell was being killed off. Also it's full of incorrect details; it claims Ian Bleasdale is 51 (he's 55) and that he's been in the show for 15 years (he's been in it for 17).

Surely this would have been announced ages ago seeing as they filmed Christmas in August? If it's true, I can't believe it.

It can't be true. There's no way in hell they'd have kept this under wraps.

Josh DOES appear in the Christmas episode though. We all know that Georgina is leaving, maybe it's her that's stabbed?

From holby.tv - Christmas Episode
The episode is based on one day in Holby but from 3 different perspectives; Josh, Ellen and guest character Laura. Time is overlapped and significant moments in the story are repeated but from different viewpoints and it is not all done chronologically.

'You'll get to see the hospital, as you've never seen it before,' Jane Dauncey adds.

I hope this isn't true, Josh is part of the Casualty furniture and it would have been announced ages ago if he was leaving for good as he is one of the show's longest serving cast member.

Does anyone remember the Casualty weekend Digital Spy did in September for the 21st series celebrations? Ian Bleasdale (Josh) was interviewed and he said he enjoys working on Casualty.

Now as this interview happened in September, and Christmas was filmed in August, you do the maths

There have been so many stabbings at Holby.

Jude (Casualty)
Nikki (Casualty)
Comfort (Casualty)
Jasmine (Holby City)
Kath (Holby City)
Matt (Holby City)

God knows how many more. And this is just the stabbings!

there are only so many ways to kill a person though and i think they have nearly all been listed above, others would just be called unrealistic.

I'm of a Brookside mind. Public hanging is the way forward.

Yeah, he disappeared for weeks and his battered body was found somewhere. He must have died from internal injuries after the attack.

The way the storylines in Casualty have been going it will soon be in the Emergency Department itself. I struggle to keep up with it as they leap around from situation to situation. The other annoying thing is the need to have same-sex kissing all the time.
