Do I buy a PVR?
Hi,
I have recently purchased 32' Sharp LCD and Panasonic EZ25 DVD recorder. Both brilliant! I was thinking of buying a cheap (probably the Digihome 80 from Argos) PVR (HDD recorder) to add to the collection, but.. I am now unsure, can I record from the PVR to the DVD and edit? Basically, I want to record the odd TV prog. and the odd film to watch at later date. But I also want the option of saving films onto DVD. I also want to record music videos in a stream , and be able to compile a 'favorites' dvd for later viewing. This is possible, but time consuming and messy from the dvd recorder. would having a PVR make this any easier? I could edit on my PC, but would need to replace DVD player with DVD R/W drive. Would this be more advantageous, cheaper? I have a limted budget, was looking for something less than £150. Any advice thoughts welcome. Many thanks. G. |
