i have my pc (nvidia-dvi) to a sony kdl32u2000(hdmi) the screen size fits but the picture seems to have thick lines going across every 20mm and the screen is badly flickering (refresh rate set at 60)

i have tried with a dvi to svga and the picture is fine but when playing hi-def clips the tv keeps saying (out of sync) with this lead

i would be grateful of any help

You might find 'Powerstrip' helpful to adjust your resolution and refresh rates.

The nvidia control centre should have options that allow you to do this.

Which graphics card are you using?

Have you tried changing the pc's resolution to 1024 x 768. Remember that if your resolution is not in 4:3 ratio that everything will look stretched. Best not to try and fill the whole screen when using your pc.
