I'm going to be buying an lcd tv and a lot of them now have integrated freeview. My question is can I still use my old freeview box with the new lcd screen as I subscribe to top-up tv (more channels than just freeview).

Yes just connect it via scart socket and use as you used to do.

You might find that most LCD tv's with freeview built in also have the slot for the top up tv card. My Panasonic and Samsung LCD's certainly do

Thanks. Now I have another question - seeing as my current freeview reception can sometimes be unreliable in bad weather might I be better off buying an analogue lcd tv so that I maintain the option of both anaalogue/digital reception?

Many Samsung only has a CAM slot and not the actual CAM for Top up TV.

TV's with built in freeview also have analogue reception. They have two seperate tuners.
