can anyone help me?

I hava a 'LG External Super Multi One Touch DVD/CD Rewriter' but I cannot get it to record video from an external device (TV, VHS, TV Drive etc). When my TV is on freeveiw digital or analogue the picture displays on my PowerProducer Gold software and everything appears ok but when I select record my disc is ejected a few seconds later with an error message. On telewest TV Drive the picture doesn't show at all.

I seem to have checked everything including disc compatability but cannot resolve the problem. It seems like it could be a series of different problems.

Does anybody have any ideas.

Have you tried sending an email to Cyberlink, the manufacturers of PowerProducer 2 Gold, to see if they can help? Or searching the FAQs section on their website to see if other people have had the same problem? Or to see whether there are any patches that you can download for this software that will correct the bug?

Not many members on here will be able to help with computer software error messages, this site is more for AV equipment. Have you ever managed to record anything using your CD/DVD writer - files, music, etc, using something other than PowerProducer? If so, it's almost certainly your software that's at fault. If not, then it's probably the writer that's at fault. You are trying to record on a blank DVD rather than CD aren't you? Maybe the software will only record video to DVD and audio to CD. What happens if you try recording the input to your hard drive as an AVI or MPG file, rather than direct to DVD?

A patch download from the wesite you gave seemed to solve most of my probs.

Thanks very much for the advice.
