The old adage about beauty only being skin deep is so true - I see a genuinely funny bloke now, with a wicked sense of humour and I really can't see the 'freak' (not my word) that David was before!

I sort of agree until the cameras home in on his eyes then I'm like - eurgh.

I agree this show has been very positive for him.

Yeah I agree too, I certianly don't fancy him...but he also doesn't scare me any more, he's quite cute infact!

I agree. It's not that he's good looking or anything, he just doesn't look as weird as the pictures we always saw in the papers.

I put this down to him not wearing make-up, getting a tan & growing a bit of a beard.

I know !! I was so looking forwards to hating him but I'm loving him and I don't think he is weird looking at all now

I have had BF's that have been great looking but horrid inside (if you know what I mean) and you don't see their good looks anymore and I have had BF's who are not anything to look at but so lovely inside, and they start to be really good looking

Agree,and the beard really suits him too

I think being more relaxed, looking a bit worn makes his face appear less mask like. Before entering the jungle I had him down as cold, hidden and aloof simply based on his looks. His humourous and warm personality blows that out of the water making him appear less of an alien and more like human being!

There is also a certain childlike nervousness communicated with his eyes which makes him more appealing. I feel he wants to project an aura of mystery and control with his appearance as a partial defense against the more vulnerable, friendly and approachable David we see on our screens.

As someone else pointed out, this show has done wonders for Dave's PR more so than any of the other contestants some of whom have probably damaged theirs.

It's the weight loss: his face is more saggy and lived-in, but it suits him. The beard helps.

i have so warmed to david sorry but I have he has made me giggle with his stories. How he can keep a straight face and tell them is beyond me. Dont know if i want him to win by hes deffo up there on my list.

The accusations of dyeing his hair black are proved wrong too , his beard is black.

He looks less odd to me too now I've got used to him. The beard does suit him.

Yeah, he looks human now, much better. He doesn't look wierd any more!

He is still a bit odd but I think everyone thinks he looks ok now, because having seen his cracking personality, his looks can be seen past.

He's probably told them a million times before to anyone who will listen

You`re right, He doesn`t seem weird anymore. Looks like a bloke you`d like to hang out with.
Just goes to show; Dont believe the tabloids..

The hair's still not quite right, but the weird-o-meter isn't going as haywire as first thought!

Once someone's personality comes through it totally changes your perception of that person. We all know beautiful people who are so dull that you no longer 'see' their beauty. David's got a great sense of humour and comes across as a genuinely nice guy.
