hi,

i'm looking to get a hdtv suitable for my 360. problem is i'm getting bogged down with all the stats and opinions and i cant make a decision.

pretty much looking for a 28" lcd with hdmi and vga input if possible. obviously want to be able to watch a dvd and a bit of footie on it so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

i was in the same boat mate, and i think the best connection for the 360 is vga - games play real well in this.

there's a nice samsung that i really like - they're all pretty much the same. only thing i'd suggest is buy it from argos, as if things go wrong, then they're pretty good at replacing. rather than comet - i've had issues with them.

I don't think you can get 28" LCD's, so it'll have to be 26/27" (which is probably what you want) or 32".

I've got a Samsung 26R74BDX (so 26"), which has got 1 HDMI, component & VGA, and the Xbox 360 looks superb through it (currently connected by component - will change to VGA as soon as Amazon can be bothered to despatch my VGA lead!)

Plus, the 26" Samsung R74's are at a good price for a branded HDTV (£550-odd)

make sure the tv has the HD component sockets because my Phillips only had HD through the VGA not with the standard HD xbox360 cable you get with the premium pack so had to go out and buy a VGA-Xbox360 cable.

i'm going to buy the VGA cable anyway because the XBOX360 component looks a little bit more washed out than
the VGA
