Another David Gest thread ..

.. sorry if this has been repeated BUT why exactly is he doing this show? To change what the British public think of him? But why on earth does he care what the British public think of him? Who had even heard of him before his marriage to LM?

I don't care if he was a cesspit cleaner before he came into the show, or for whichever reason. He's so funny I love him. I feel such a two faced female, because I'd only read about him in the press before now and he made my toes curl he seemed so loathesome.

I must admit I was prepared to loathe him but he really is quite funny

Ummm... I don't think David is in the show to change the British public views of him. He clearly doesn't care. He went in for the break, airtime and the money helped too? I had heard of him before this but I'm American and I attend the big Michael Jackson concert he put on (how he met Liza).

Yes, that show he produced for Michael Jackson still holds the record for a TV special with an audience of 44 million!

I think he doesn't care what people think of him through the press, and maybe that's why the press have written so much negative stuff about him.

he's clearly a tough and intelligent man who uses charm and guile to get things done, i bet he schmoozes at an olympic gold medal level, it was telling when all the other celebs were talking about doing things for him constantly and they didn't mind. he doesn't give two monkeys about what the press say.

Somebody in camp, can't remember who, asked him his reasons for doing I'm a Celeb. He doesn't need the money or need to raise his profile. He said he just wanted to do something different. He's a multimillionaire, has had more media exposure than most people, so I can actually believe that.

The show would be far less entertaining without him.
