David the King (Ar*e)

Ive been trying to look at the popularity of David from a distance. There is no doubt that the 'gang' in there love him, think hes funny and is a top bloke. Why wouldn't they - Hes a producer ffs. Hes the only person who could help their careers after this show (well, its either that or Panto!!).
The following people have shown an unhealthy interest with David!

Jason Donevan (ex singer/flagging career).
David could help? Yes? Be nice to him!! Might even get to meet Michael Jackson.

Myleene (ex Singer/Flagging Career)
David could help? Yes? Be nice to him!! Might even get to meet Michael Jackson.

Malandra (ex singer/actress/flagging career).
Wants him to win. Suprise. Might get to meet Michael Jackson. Ha!

Matt (ex singer...pattern here)
David could help!!

Jan (I wanna be on Broadway/penthouse!!!)
David Could Help!!

The pattern shows that people who have given most attention to David are still in the camp. Phina, Faith etc didn't have much to do with him at all!! And where are they?

As dean is the only Non-ex-Singer in the camp (I hope) then he will go tonight!

Who in their right mind would want to meet Michael Jackson He's more of a has-been then the jungle contestants.
I also think that David Gest takes his job seriously and is highly unlikely to further someones career just because he likes them.
I think they just like him, he obviously has charm and wit and who wouldn't want to spend time with someone like that?

Is David gest so powerful in the showbiz world that he could resurrect their careers?

How could MJ help them?

I've no doubt that cliques have formed in there. But with only a limited amount of actual live coverage being shown we'll not know for sure who is the main instigator. There's no doubt that David has the power and influence to help most of them in there but, I'm sure if he wasn't a likeable person the "Divas" would soon let us know!

Personally, I think there was a lot more tension between Faith and Jan which we didn't see. As Jan was visibly more relaxed once Faith had gone.

I think you're spot on. He impresses them with his 'stories', Last nights name dropping was consummate, but he never mentions his own family. He's probably left them behind. They all sit there entharalled as he speaks, and they would love to be in his world, attending his dinner parties.

He's very closed. More than two weeks, yet we know nothing about him. Except he doesn't do dishes. I think David is in there so he can become as famous as his famous friends.

By the way, people are very two faced regarding Michael Jackson. It's all 'he's this, he's that, who the fcuk is he?', but when they come to face to face with him it's a totally different story.

Hmm I don't think he's in there to become as famous as his friends, he already is. He's well respected in his profession. Maybe he entered the jungle to change British perception of him, though why he would give two sh**s what the fickle British public think of him I don't know.

I'd rather meet Bob Dylan, I wouldn't cross the road to see Michael Jackson, he isn't my cup of tea at all.

I agree, but even if people are two-faced about michael jackson...he's still winning by about seven faces.

softlad1 is totally on the ball. They are all "oh David is a ballll" because they have dreams of LA and invites to parties with Whitney, Michael, Tito and any other numptie that David has name dropped.

They'll be in for a shock when they try calling David on leaving the jungle and he'll be like "Jason who.....? from where????? "Myleene Glass....!!???"

This just shows you the desparados from the semi desparados. Who does David think does the dishes of a morning...the jungle cockroaches....everyone has to do their fair share and what does he ACTUALLY do for the others OTHER than make up tired old stories about the day he went to OJ Simpson's house to pick oranges (BTW- i made this one up).....crap randem stories that really mean nothing to anyone.....who can prove or disprove them???

Would they though?

I noticed that in the 'I don't do dishes' incident, almost every single one of them except Phina shut the f*ck up, wheras if it was somebody else then other people would probably get involved.
One example being the Jan, Faith, Phina squabbling.

I wouldn't underestimate the power of nepotism.
