Hi this is my first post so i apologise if im not too technical!
I have a phillps DVD recorder and a Amstrad 80gb Sky plus box.

The model numbers are DVDR3440H DVD
DRX280 Sky +

When i record programmes on to dvd there is a problem with bright colours red pink etc. What happens is that you get some pink diagonal lines showing on the screen. This only happens when recording from the sky + box. I have only had these a month or so and the picture quality is superb from the sky+ box and also superb when watching a dvd. I did buy new scart leads but the problem is still there. At the moment I am still putting some home videos on the DVD hard drive and these do not have any problem with picture quality. Am i doing something wrong.

Just a guess maybe sky are running copy protection try recording from say sky news??

Thanks i tried that but it was ok. I have noticed on bbc news 24 that the bright red has some light red diagonal stripes. Ive changed scart leads.

Do you have your STB set to output composite, S-Video or RGB?

Changed it from pal to rgb. Worked really well. Thank you so much for your help!
