I have found that my 440HX has discrete remote control codes for selecting the external input (i.e. for use with a programmable remote control).

Interestingly, it even responds to the codes that select L3 and DV and displays these on the front panel - even though these inputs only exist on the 545HX and 920HX.

If the firmware recognises a DV input I wonder if it would be possible to physically wire up your own DV port on a 440/540HX ?

It has all of the original remote codes plus a few extra functions and discrete codes that I have found, i.e. on, off, open/close disk tray, hdd mode, dvd mode, jukebox, and input selection.
