Hi Folks, I have been lurking around your site for a few days now and I have been impressed with the level of knowledge and general know all about your given subjects.
I have just purchased a 40 inch Sony Bravia LCD, which I have hooked up to my Sky+ by a bog standard Scart lead. I also have a Sony DAV- SR1 Home cinema sytem. I again have a run of the mill Scart going from the home cinema system to the TV. I also have an optical cable going from the Sky+ optical audio output to the digital in (sat) on the home cinema system. Apart from the fact I am running on bog standard Scart leads could anyone pleae advise if this sounds like the right cabling setup. any advice greatfully recieved.

Providing your Bravia has 2 RGB scarts (I think it has but I'm not certain) then you seem to have it about right.

If everything looks ok then leave it as it is, sometimes cheap scarts can cause a problem but it seems you're ok, no point in changing them if they're alright.

I would get quality gold plated scart cable with all pins connected, its only £4.99 from LIDL, same cables in other high street stores are more than 5 times that price.
You got a great TV there, go on get the best out of it

I would personally invest in a quality scart lead like this one http://www.clearly-av.co.uk/26481T.html at under £20 including postage these leads can make a big difference to picture quality. This particular lead retails for £29.99 so is good value for money. More about this cable here. http://www.thoravinterconnects.co.uk...cts/scart.html
