Are LCD's meant to get warm at the top?

Hi
Just got my LCD today. It's been on for about 4 hours and the top is warm (not hot by any means) and if i smell the top it smells a bit. (Not sure how to describe it).

There are small gaps at the top of the tv, I'm guessing this is to let the air pass through.

Is this normal?

Thanks

Yeah, all my LCD's get warm on top but not Hot...

There's electronics inside and the hot air that's produced just finds its way out the top.... the smell is probably the 'new tv' smell that you get as the plastics and components inside 'bed in'.

Sounds all ok to me.

Smoke however is never good!
