Mark and Karen all the way for me : do the judges still feel unable to give them a 10 when they can dish them out to others : Maryjay

Ah, but when Mark and Karen do get their 10 they'll know they actually deserve it. And of course they have my vote as always.

I thought Emma's Waltz was just beautiful - absolutely a 10! Her technique was beautiful; the dance was gorgeous.

Her Paso I thought was a 9... there was something missing to make it a 10 but I thought it was great.

I felt gutted for her and Darren that they were undeservedly in the bottom two when they had come top with the judges. It just showed the lack of support they have from the public which is really sad for them. Up until this week I had thought Emma was all showy up top and very little actual technique but last night I was impressed (well this morning when I got to watch my recording).

I just couldn't believe it either.

This Mark and Karen forum is really infuriating me now.
The public should vote on the dances each week and not on popularity, fame, status, recognition or their past. The few clued-up people that voted and kept Emma and Darren in will do the same next week if they dance well again for the 3rd week running. Emma and Darren have shown yet again that they can handle any type of dance given and work it on the night. You cannot say the same about the others. So people vote for who has consistently danced well on the night in Ballroom and Latin. When the celebrities were asked to go on the show, they knew they wanted to learn to dance. At this stage of the dance competition, the finalists should be the couple who perform all the dances well. If Mark has not learnt ballroom by now then, I will not vote for him the same goes for Matt if he cannot tackle the Latin I will not vote for him either, and if Louisa cannot perform a true Ballroom then I will not qualify her either.
Get passed this rose coloured tint, people and watch others with joy and not just the favourite in your head.

Very good advice I think. Must follow it!

Unfortunately, there seems to be a whole philosophical debate about the subjective and the objective, self and other and world and interpretation which you have undoubtedly resolved, but I certainly haven't. So am unable to remove rose-tinted glasses-- they seem to come with the human condition.

However, I do commend you on your remarkable rational clarity and wish heartily that it were a more widespread state.

Very surprising that Matt is just one vote ahead of Emma, and yet he topped the GBP vote on Saturday and she was bottom of it.

I think Matt may go next week as with recent shows, the week after the bottom couple is saved, they end up going.

Also hope the Emma/Matt vote here not matching the public votes on Saturday mean that the support for Mark isn't quite as unbeatable as indicated here, and that Louisa gives him a real run for his money.

oh dear if only you could apply this to your own dear self! No comments on Emma's appalling Paso face? No? Ah! At least the Mark and Karen fans can say that his foxtrot was poor- time you Bunton Bunnies learned how to praise and criticise in equal measure when talking about your favourite!

An just to let you know I do watch others and vote accordingly. Gosh could you be any further in the pocket of E & D? (There is a more common phrase for that but thought that might be a bit strong for pre-watershed!! )

My thoughts exactly !!! Why do people have to resort to bashing opposing celebs

I am a Mark & Karen fan but am also subjective enough to give praise to others when due without resorting to bashing or personal attacks

I do exactly that. I am a massive Maren fan but it doesn't stop me from appreciating and enjoying all the celebs dancing. This year has been the best so far IMO, as far as high standards achieved are concerned. I am loving it!

Mark and Karen until the end.

I just can't 'get' any other couple, and believe me, I've tried.

Very disappointed Carol went out. Of the 3 females, she had the most style and I enjoyed watching her the most.

Louisa and Vincent for me this week. I always feel they're going to come up with something beautiful to watch. Mark and Karen are like that, too, sometimes - but I feel they're a bit more hit and miss. All the remaining couples are excellent, in my opinion, but these two are the ones I look forward to watching.

I Love matt and lilia, but possibly he isn't the best dancer.

But I do love liliia, I think the BBC could now do a series with just the proffesional dancers, and the general public 'cause dancers are so well known!

I think you may be missing the point of a celebrity dancing competition!!!
I hope people are not voting for their favourite professional, rather than the celebrity who has done the best dance- that is just ridiculous.

Why anyone votes each week is a cocktail of many different factors. How one feels about the celebrity, the professional, the dance, the music, the judges comments and marks (or lack of them), the chemistry of that cocktail is known only to the voter. Each vote is valid and should not be knocked by people who don't agree. I think all the dancers left have done tremendously well to get this far. There are things I like and dislike about them all. Eventually, like many of the viewing public, I vote with my heart, so it's Mark & Karen again.

I was watching the show with an odd Foxtrot, a dodgy Rumba and chipmunk doing a Paso. I vote for who I think danced the best and the routines I enjoyed the most. It's the judges job to mark the technical aspect, not mine, if they can't manage to mark correctly that's their problem.

Emma seems to be 'catching' him up a little now. Wonder how this will read by the end of the week (and how much it was to do with Bruno's little outburst yesterday...)

Matt & Lilia(39.2%)
Louisa & Vincent(13.4%)
Emma & Darren(34.8%)
Mark & Karen(12.7%)

Interestingly enough, at the moment, the SCD 'week 10 favourite couple' poll has Emma (13.80%) and Matt (15.10%) as the least favourites.

They are on here as well. The BBC poll quoted above asks people who they would like to leave, not who they'd vote for.

Still Mark and Karen for me .
Style and ability combined with a joy in the dance which lights up Mark's face and sends a tingle down the spine .
No one else has it ,
And he has done great ballroom ..Tango, Viennese waltz and the American Smooth.
To come back and wow after the judge's lambasting showed character and determination, and wowo was it superb.

But reading some of the threads that is just what is happening . Lilia gets a huge vote just for herself, as did Brendan, and darren .

Joy ? in thaty case I will watch Mark and vote for him .Not because he is a famous cricketer but because he can danc e and he is loving it and he can dance ballroom, he has doen 3 high scoring ballroom dances .
lets have honesty here.

Emma has danced well, but there is no spark , no pleasure , no joy and it was finished for me by gross overmarking . The waltz was a 9 not 10 and the paso 7/8

I agree about louisa , but just as Mark is not responsible for his pro's choreography nor is Louisa , though Mark did try to claim all blame .
