Jean slater
I can hardly beleive that this next week is a year since we saw those emotional scenes with Stacey and her mum. When Stacey looked at that photo and said 'Alright Sean', none of us new what lay in store for him.

Its amazing to think back to that, what an amazing week that was. Lacey and Gillian both amazing, and superb work by Pam St Clements too.
We knew nothing about Sean and it was like "wow, she has a brother!" and it was just all so emotional. |

I hope Jean becomes a more permanent character in 2007 - I think she is a great asset to the show and her, Stacey and Sean would be brilliant together.
Sadly I predict the end of the Slaters in 2007

Stacey is holding the Slaters together completely and I think that she may decide to leave Eastenders during 2007 - It's just a hunch. Actresses move on and I can't see much storylines involving any of them other Stacey. |

Is Lacey on a 3 year contract? If that's the case it will end in November 2007 unless renewed. I do wonder if her upcoming storyline is the producers covering their butts so an exit is feasible.
Stacey is definitely the glue of the Slater family; the only reason Sean has stuck around is his sister, he is hardly likely to decide to live with Charlie and Mo, and the same is the case with Jean. I hope that we get to see Stacey, Jean, and Sean as one family unit, along with Charlie and Mo. This would have huge potential in terms of exploring Stacey, Jean, and Sean's characters. |

I'm wondering if Stacey turns nasty, then visits Jean and calms down and comes to her senses. What do Stacey and Jean tend to talk about? Family.
I think its more that she has a burst of bitchiness and bitterness over Christmas which has consequences later. However, if Jean turns Bi-Polar then Stacey could take a darker turn, but IMHO reseting Stacey would be a grave mistake. |
