It seems you have to stay on hold for at least 30 minutes with Pipex, then they might answer the phone.

Are you sure your internal phone sockets/wiring isn't to blame? that is often the cause of disconenctions.

Maybe worth a look as if that's the problem you'll have it with your new ISP as well.

Check out some recent posts below which discuss such things (sockets/filters etc)

hmm sounds like you've done everything you possibly can...... well I guess if you're happy to change ISP then see what happens (let's face it, Pipex customer support is abysmal although thankfully I've never needed it)

I've been with Pipex 3/4 years and not had problems with connection, even when I moved things went smoothly.
Never had to wait 30minutes to chat but like any company it always depends on what time you call.

yeah, I suppose I've got to agree really, I've been with them for nearly 5 years and (touch wood) not had any major problems, although I am annoyed about their Control Panel not fully working, which has been the case for about 6 months.
..and since about the end of september I no longer get "traffic shaped" or "throttled", anybody else noticed this?

Well I also have not had any problems with my Pipex service but did have to wait 30 minutes to have my call answered, I tried at various times of day and various days of the week but I might have just picked a busy week I suppose.
