I am saving for a major 'home entertainment' upgrade

Hopefully in the New Year, I'll be on my way to saving for a new HDTV-LCD, PVR and DVD (or combi) and eventually Playstation 3.

With regards to this HDMI connectors, does that mean that the TV I choose has to have a HDMI socket for every device I want to connect?

e.g. I would need to buy a TV with three HDMI sockets:

one for playstation
one for PVR
one for DVD player ......?


I am confused... How do the connections work? (I am used to SCART system)

the new toshiba W88 series LCD's come with three. My LCD only has two but I use my yamaha amp which has 2 HDMI in's and one out
