Right, I have just got a surround sound system. I have connected to t.v via RCA (red and white).

To connect this, I had to remove the CA plugs that were connecting my stereo to back of t.v. I now have nowhere to plug the stereo cables into.

Is there a connection that would enable me to connect all 4 plugs into the 2 sockets? Or any other way to solve this?

I am assuming here that you are talking about an audio OUTPUT from the TV that you connected originally to the stereo so that you could listen to the TV sound over the stereo speakers.

While I would question why you would want to have both the surround system and stereo connected at the same time this is quite possible. You can get adapters that split one phono (RCA) plug to two sockets, eg...

Just get a pair of these and you can split the TV output to both systems.

DO NOT however use them to combine two outputs into one input! If the sockets on the back of the TV are actually INPUTS (ie you used the TV speakers to listen to some audio from the stereo system) then you should use a switch such as...
