Do you have it on the channel for the programme concerned right from the beginning (without changing over at any point)?

Press Play, then use the left/right buttons to move the pointer to the position you want to record from, then press record, it will record the buffer from this point upto the end of the current live programme

I think pressing play twice only takes you back to the beginning of a recording that is being played back, it dosnt work on live tv (not 100% on this though)

and you can extend the end time by pressing stop once or fast forwarding to take it back to live and then press record again to bring up the end time, pressing left and right adjusts the end time in ten minute increments.

You don't need to jump to real time to do this. Just press record again.

Incidentally, has anyone noticed that the end time used comes from the current live program, and not the one you have rewound to? This means that if you are several programs behind it will record them all!

Thanx for the replies...In fact the only way I could do this was to pess stop, rewind with the left button then press OK to play, then press record..This worked for me.

pressing stop when watching live TV shouldn't do anything (unless it does the same as pressing play does).

pressing play brings up the info/time bar allowing you to scroll back using the left button, pressing ok then jumps to the point in the time bar highlighted.

You could just rewind until you reach the point you want, there shouldn't be any need to press top first.

are you sure? I'm as sure as I can be (while I'm at work) that I have to go back to live to adjust the end time.

I think it's good that it takes the end time from the current live programme, if it didn't and you wanted more than the first you would have to do it two or three times with the risk it might dump the later ones you want.

I have just had a look, pressing stop when watching live tv does the same as pressing play

Yes, I am sure. I did it yesterday, and I have done it many times in the past. (You do, incidentally, have to jump to live TV if you want to switch subtitles on/off.)

Pressing stop while watching live tv,unless you are recording, does the same as pressing play, brings up the time bar.

I am wondering if i am doing this right as neither of these 2 work for me i am running V1.0.6

The only way i can get it to work is Press Play, then use the left/right buttons to move the pointer to the position you want to record from then press play then press record

Is their an easier way of doing this as it seems to be a bit of a long winded way of recording a past programme

Would it not be easier to goto guide and set a recording (and as long as you have been on the channel long enough) and the program will be recorded from the buffer
