Of course with a smaller and less competitive market hence higher profit margins per panel with Plasma than LCD this will have nothing to do with the latest PR offensive

I swapped my PLASMA for an LCD, I now have 2 LCD's.... to be honest I can't tell that much difference.

Cathod Ray Tube is best, nothing can beat it, even your so called hi def

Agree with you there Justin, I don't know about HD that may be better, but I have looked at many LCD and Plasma pictures and there is a great lack of definition with large blocks of solid colours with no shade or highlights, it looks like the old painting by numbers pictures.
The only decent Plasma and LCD pictures I have seen are those on a specially prepaid DVD played on them like that topical fish one that is played at so many demos in the shops. But playing broadcast quality pictures they are absolute crap and just how anyone can say thay are better than a CRT I fail to understand.
