Soaps are hotting up!
Eastender and Coronation Street are pulling out all the big guns for the next 11 months as competition between the two rival soaps are red hot.
Coronation Street are hoping that their lastest run of rating success excels. Coronation Street are hanging onto their best villian Richard Hillmen until next month, when he will leave next month, Corrie Producers are building up his exit to be the biggest and bestest soap exit ever. Coronation Street seem to have had a major revival since the beggining of 2001, where Corrie suffered their worst ratings ever. But Corrie seems to be beating Eastenders in the ratings with 15 million viewers choosing to watch the Northern soap insted of the BBC rival. But Eastenders Executive Producer Louise Berridge is determing to keep Eastenders on the road of glory. Eastenders seem to be pulling all the big guns to win back the viewers from the Northern based soap. Next month is set to be a rollacoster month for Eastenders fans when a triple wamey of tearjurkers will be coming to the viewers sitting room. Vicky Fowler is also set to have some major storylines. Eastenders biggest weapon in the arsenal is the 'What happend to Lisa' plot. The BBC are determine to recreate the sensation that was 'who shot Phil'. 21 million british viewers choose to stay home and find out the person who shot Phil wich was Lisa. The BBC are set to go PR mad with 'What happend to Lisa', with the actors set to appear on television shows doing a number of interviews. Special trailers are being made by the BBC and are going to be shown learly March, building towards the discovery of Lisa's fate. Whatever the outcome of the ratings battle, one thing is for sure, the competition will only be a good thing as the viewers will experiance quality from both soaps! Who do you think will win?
