Corrie ~ December 6th 2006
Wednesday 6 December 7.30 - 8pm ITV1
Tracy (Kate Ford) can see she's really wound Charlie (Bill Ward) up with the fake argument and realises she's got a lot of work to do to get him back on side. But while she plays the dutiful girlfriend at home, she plays subdued for her parents and vulnerable for Claire (Julia Haworth). Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride), however, wants some answers from her daughter about last night's row, as does Charlie. Is Tracy in danger of her plan being rumbled? Audrey (Sue Nicholls) decides to tag along with Gail (Helen Worth) when she says she's going to the Websters' to discuss buying a cheap car for David. But when she starts asking questions about Bill's (Peter Armitage) whereabouts it's clear Audrey has her own motives for the visit. Will her brazenness pay off? Meanwhile, Norris (Malcolm Hebden) is determined to catch the street's graffiti artist and as he holds another night vigil he spots the culprit at work. Springing into action Norris attempts to make a citizens arrest. And the Peacocks thank Eileen (Sue Cleaver) as she prepares herself for her baptism in order to be Freddie's godmother. This episode of CORONATION STREET is written by Damon Rochefort, produced by Steve Frost and directed by John Anderson. Coronation Street is made by ITV Productions. Tonight's Episode Discuss here!

Rather an odd episode tonight. The editing felt very strange in parts (when Emily & Reet were talking in The Kabin & the final scene with Charlie & Tracy) so I'm wondering whether the episode overran & some of it has been "trimmed"?
Anyway, Audrey is well into her role as the Scarlet Woman of Weatherfield isn't she? I liked the way that Donk & Maria made cracks about it in the salon & Sawfie's comments about "Audrey's boyfriend". Bill would make a nice addition to the Street & I for one would like to see him back on a more permanent basis (with or without Maureen). Gail wasn't very pleased when Kevin asked whether her mum had just picked up his dad though was she??! Poor Bev, getting it wrong again! You would think that she would have learnt her lesson after the 'after christening' incident when she booked The Rovers without asking Claire or Ashley. But it would appear not as she trolled off into town to buy a christening gown without thinking that either Claire or Ashley (or both of them) might have had christening gowns that they might want to use. Liked Eileen's comments about the vicar & her singing the hymn in The Rovers though. It was odd that Number 5's attic has suddenly sprouted a wall which, of course, is very handy if you want to turn it into a bedroom. Maybe the attic is TARDIS like too & grew it's own wall to stop Les using the attic's to get into other people's houses after he was caught doing it last time. The stuff with Norris was reasonably ok. I liked Emily tempting him back in with leak & potato soup & hot crusty bread. Norris being elbowed by Ryan was less good. And where did Reet appear from. She was on the scene pretty much straight away. I did like her comment about it not being like the good old days though. Charlie & Tracy is going nowhere. We've been here before with Charlie saying that he's the one who wears the trousers in the relationship & he'll have to show Tracy who the boss is. 6 out of 10. ![]() EDIT: Found it. See second page, post 34 onwards http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=489790 Just found the relevant post which I hadn't seen on the original thread. Corrie.net confirms that this did take place so I've edited my post accordingly. Vey bad of me to forget something like that but I suppose you can't remember everything when you've been watching something like Corrie for a long time!
