What Hi Fi gave both the 15" and 20" LCD tvs five stars out of five. Models: ML-1508TN and ML-2008TN.
Trust your own eyes and ears, you should see them working in a Sainsbury's store for yourself before you shell out your hard-earned. They are exclusive to Sainsburys, and I observe:

No surveys have been done by this publication of the other "bargain" TVs that are available from Tesco, Argos, Woolworth etc.
The ***** What HiFi rating is displayed prominently on the retail boxes
There are factual inaccuracies in the What HiFi listings (stating that the 15" model is widescreen when it's a regular 4:3)
It seems a bit daft buying a telly that doesn't come with a Freeview tuner onboard, and neither of these do. I had a look at one in a nearby Sainsburys and thought that the picture was ok-to-poor, and the style of the screen said "supermarket deal" rather than "I am a reliable tv".
I got the impression that the reviewers thought that this model made a change from the £8,000 plasma screens that they normally watch, rather than a subjective analysis of quality.
