A figure from Kevin's past lurks around the holiday home. Evie has a sobering revelation for Bert.

I can't wait to see Shirley wicks. This year has gone so quickly, it's been about three months since we heard that Shirley Wicks was to come!

I'm off out in 10 mins but am taping so will look forward to seeing what happens- hopefully tonight's episode won't be as mind-numbingly boring as Monday's and Tuesday's were!

This has to be the worst week in ages. I just don't seem to care about these particular story lines. I have never liked Bert, so don't really care about his ex wife dying. Patrick lied to Denise and I can understand she is upset, but she is going to milk this forever and a day.
I want to go back to the Square and see what Jane and Ian are up to. I can't wait to get back to Pauline and her brain tumour fibs. The only good thing about this week, is seeing Yvonne Atkins. ![]() Oh and I wish they would quit showing me the fag close ups. I quit on Monday and after my evening meal is when I crave one the most. (deep breaths) |

I didn't realise Deano and Carly wouldn't recognise their mother.
It's good to see Yvonne Atkins again!! |

This week has been a bit pants, like others I wanna see whats happening with Ian and Jane and evil Pauline. I couldn't care less about Bert's dying wife, mainly cos I don't give a fig about Bert.
Although I like the characters of Denise and Kevin a whole week of episodes centred round them is a bit much. I can't wait for all this filler stuff to go so that we can get to the really juicy Xmas storylines. |

Not a Dean free episode
Evie's secret took me by surprise. I was sure she would say that he wasn't her daughter's father Surely Patrick should have left soon after his relevation

It was boring in my opinion in some parts but I have to admit, I have had mixed feelings about this week. I really love the Denise character but like most characters she is becomming softer than she was when she first arrived.
Yvonne wooo lol, she looks really different. I enjoyed her, aww, cant believe Carly and Deano didnt recongnise her. Kevins face at the end was priceless. I also cant wait for the fallout of Ian/Jane and Pauline. |

Strangely enough I really enjoyed tonight's episode. EastEnders is finally getting itself back together and I think the recovery is being felt. Characters are being developed, etc. I'm really looking foward to Shirley; EastEnders made a wise choice in casting the actress.

Oh, I loved that. So utterly fantastic to see Linda Henry back on TV - and playing a character not a million miles away from Yvonne Atkins.
Just one episode in and Shirley Wicks is by far my favourite new arrival this year bar none ![]() Nice to see Bert getting serious for once aswell
