Looking for advice on intelligent remote controls like the Harmon Kardon TC 30 http://www.harmankardon.com/product_...C%2030&sType=C. These are RC's that do more than one thing at once ie turn on the plasma screen and switch the receiver to the satellite channel and then vice versa for turning off.

The HK looks fantastic does any one have experience of it? Are there better ones - Logitech does some I think.

I see that Harmony 550 is sneakily similar to the TC 30 (websites have differing angles) but there are many more in the Logitech range, the 880 is getting the plaudits currently I see.

And as for comparative pricing, arggghhhhh!!

I have a Harmony 688 remote, and have programmed it to do the following:

1. Watch TV - Switch on TV, Sky HD box in lounge, or

2. Watch DVD - Switch on TV, DVD and surround sound amp, switch OFF Sky HD box, or

3. Watch TV in bedroom - Switch off TV in lounge, switch on TV in bedroom, control Sky HD via magic eye.

It can also do any permutation of the above at any time as all devices can be called up and operated at any time.

Great piece of equipment for £50.
