EE: if it weren't for Ian, his third wife Laura would still be alive

Why is he partly to blame for her death? Well...

(1) he slept with Janine Butcher;

(2) Laura forgave Ian on condition that he make her pregnant, prompting Ian to secretly have a vasectomy;

(3) when Ian found out Laura was pregnant, he threw her out onto the street, penniless;

(4) Laura used to work at the cafe, owned by the Mitchells - but when Ian bought it, he sacked Laura,
who descended further into poverty when Janine Evans (as she was now known)
took belated revenge on her for attacking her 2 years previously;

(5) when Laura fell down the stairs in her flat, and died of severe injuries,
she was rushing outside to catch Ian!

As she was running to catch Ian so she could get him to legally pay for his son and was going to get a DNA test to prove he was Ian's son by law. What a pair of knobs Janine and Ian are.

Laura wanting a child with Ian was just a pointless, stupid storyline and as an idea as well. I would have just left him to rot, as she could have applied for nannying jobs, while working on the side elsewhere.

She should have just left Walford for a better life with her family.

Alas, Laura's father was ill, and her mother had her hands full with him.

So Laura was stranded in Walford, while Janine took pleasure from watching her suffer.

Janine was a bitch - good riddance to her.

Janine was a legendary character who needs to come back.

I loathe her for what she did to Billy Mitchell in 2001, and then Laura Beale in 2004 -
but I'd like to see her return one day, to wreak revenge on Pat for framing her for Laura's death.

Laura got on my nerves a bit but I thought it was really sad that a silly accident killed the poor baby Bobby's mother.

Laura wasn't completely innocent in the Laura/Janine war either. I know Janine was really spiteful, but I'd be the same if someone had deliberately thrown a pan of boiling milk in my face and then got away with it by lying to the police.
