Corrie ~ Friday December 8th
Friday 8 December 7.30 - 8pm ITV1
When Bill (Peter Armitage) asks to see Audrey (Sue Nicholls) again she invites him over for dinner. She's clearly out to impress but Audrey's in a mess and as he arrives her food is still frozen. Bill takes charge and as they enjoy a glass of wine they relax into each other's company. Bill moves in for a kiss but at the vital moment the microwave pings. Has the moment gone? Spurred on by his near miss, Norris (Malcolm Hebden) holds a stake-out at the Kabin. As he hears the familiar sound of spraying he pounces and this time he grabs the culprit forcing him into the shop. Once inside Norris pulls down the hood to reveal Ryan (Ben Thompson). Calling the police he can't wait to give his version of events but when the officers arrive Ryan tells a very different story saying Norris has kidnapped him. Who will the police believe? Tracy (Kate Ford) puts on her frightened bunny act when Claire (Julia Haworth) invites her to Freddie's christening, saying she'll need to check with Charlie (Bill Ward) to see if she can come. Meanwhile, tensions are rising in the Peacock household as their big day approaches and when Bev (Susie Blake) criticises Claire for inviting Tracy she's quick to snap back. It's clear Bev living there isn't working but will anyone speak up? This episode of CORONATION STREET is written by Mark Wadlow, produced by Steve Frost and directed by John Anderson. Coronation Street is made by ITV Productions. Tonight's episode Discuss here!

The graffiti storyline is completely ridiculous.
I've been thinking for weeks now that people like Ken, Emily and Rita have been acting totally out of character and would be much more concerned about the graffiti. But they've made it so nobody else is bothered, to up the comedy value and make Norris seem like a fool. The stuff with the police tonight was absolutely ludicrous and completely unrealistic. |

The worst episode we've had for a while. Charlie / Tracy & the Peacocks were just treading water & the storyline moved no further forward tonight. None of the scenes scripted held any interest or were amusing in any way, shape of form.
The Battersby loft conversion was all dull as ditchwater as well. So not surprised that Les had a go at Bill & threw him out of the house when he found out how much the conversion would cost. Bruce Jones's acting was particularly dodgy tonight as well. Audrey certainly seems to be well & truly over Fred's death with her acting like a teenager & pursuing Bill even though he's married. This particula story thread was ok, but again wasn't anything special. Not surprised that Audrey invited him to stay the night ~ she's been dying to have him on her own. Nice to see Alf's photo in the background though. Norris got all the 'best' stuff tonight but it was far from the best written material to work with. I liked Emily's p!$$ take of the Milk Tray advert with her substituting midget gems instead. Norris paying for the sweets he took, just before he heard Ryan shaking his spray can was also a nice touch. But, all in all, it was a rather dull episode with nothing to engage or hold the viewers attention. Hope that Corrie are going to pull their socks up over the festive period & that we don't get many more episodes of this "standard". 4 out of 10. |

Not a ********* free episode. Is he totally thick or what
I support Norris and the Police were totally out of order. Another episode featuring the lovely Claire ![]() Emily and Rita were fun again. Must remember to tell Bev about Audrey and this married bloke

I didn't think it was that good really. Tracy was brilliant though. Hopefully next week will be better, it was a bit dull tonight.

It seemed to focus on the Norris stuff too much tonight I thought. This should just be a filler sort of thing.. not a storyline in itself.

I loved the end when Audrey asked Bill to stay the night...and he took her up the stairs, and she gulped her wine down!!! Classic!
Audrey is brilliant! |
