She was barking mad and then all of a sudden she was better, it was as if it was rushed to get her well before Fred died and now this thing with Tracy luv, worrying whether Charlie is beating her "friend" up, surely she should suffer some sort of relapse, post natal depression can go on for a long time, not a couple of months. Then again, Ashley would have been stuck with two nutjobs in the house, with Bev being a little unhinged. When this whole Tracy/Charlie thing blows up, is this when Claire will have a relapse, because surely she hasn't fully recovered?

She was acting mad the other day sometime last week "what happens if he knows I did not love him?"

So she is not out of the woods yet and why am I even discussing someone who is a fictional character?

Fictional characters still should be believable

This isn't Doctor Who

She spent a month in a hospital unit + councelling + medication. I've not suffered from PND but I've had depression earlier this year and I started feeling better after 3 or 4 weeks, once I'd been having councelling + medication. So it's not unrealistic. You still have to take the tablets for 6 months to a year afterwards to stop a relapse. So no, she wouldn't just have a relapse, unless she stopped taking the medication.

If you read up about it you'd see that it's correct what they've done with Clair.

And just for the record, people with depression are not "nutcases". I hope you never have to go through it.

Why should she suffer a relapse ... Isn't it possible with the correct care and medication she could recover first time round ...

Maybe we'll hear more about it when storylines permit ..

Yup, another rushed storyline with no real end to it. This is happening more and more these days as the producers try to keep the ratings up.

This storyline was poorly done in my opinion. I don't feel that Coronation Street is very good when it comes down to portraying serious issues. It's too much of a light-hearted soap for the hard hitting stuff.. always has been.
