For what it's worth, IMHO it all goes back to the very beginning of this series, going by lots of posts here and the huge reaction to "Lost the Plot" week - it would seem people "smelled a rat" quite early on!! - The whole SCD/CIN thing does not seemed to have gone down well at all! - yes I know - Charity, Children etc etc -
If you remember - & I know CRH may not have meant it this way but however, - When he said to Louisa after the Jive "Emma has competition & series competitiion" - I could have been taken up as - well, why should the rest bother!! are they there just to make up the numbers and is it all a foregone conclusion that Emma at least would be in the Final followed closely by Louisa - Judges pretty much falling overthemselves - but what about the rest!! - Yes I know Emma & Louisa both are great, deserve their praise and ARE good, in some ways their dancing is not the point, it is the perception by people of "over-marking" at all costs and some things since then have to a certain extent backed that up - ie Carol's VT questioning that no matter what "certain people" even when slightly critisied by Judges STILL get high marks! - The Foxtrot with no heel lead and still huge marks - yes choreography was brilliant from Darren, & the did perform it well.
Also I think last week the Rumba from Matt & Lilia - both Philip Jackson & Brendan Cole praised it, and the "energy" between them, yet the judges?????? & going by posts from here people seemed to get quite cross about this - Not Emma's fault, but a little bit of inconsistency maybe? which is driving everyone mad!!
"creating" headlines for the sake of it & forced interest for ratings at all costs is just damaging - the dancing speaks for itself - The Celebs, in particular the Professionals deserve better - they dance their heart out every week.
I really do think that when this show is over & the dust settles all concerned need to sit down and iron out the "issues" which have arisen from this series, SCD is an absolute gem of a show, I just hope it doesn't become a victim of its own success.
