Do the judges want Matt out?

I can't think of any other reason why they would so overpraise what was quite an unappealing Samba - apart from Lilia, who was fab, Mark was very average in my opinion.

Whereas Louisa gave a brilliant rumba (I thought) and they slammed her for it.

I can't believe Craig seemed to think Matt's samba this week was better than Carol's last week. I am convinced he is plotting to get Matt into the middle 'danger zone'.

My thoughts exactly - BUT the people can save him. I personally thought the judges were doing their damdest to remove Louisa - she is after all - in their eyes - Emmas big competition

I thought they were ridiculously hard on Louisa too (whose rumba was better than Emma's I thought), but by praising up Matt so much I wonder if they are trying to make the public too apathetic to vote?

Ah well, I'm probably sensing too much conspiracy here

I'm thinkin' the exact same thing, Trish  the judges want Louisa (and perhaps also Matt) out of this competition.
It was so obvious, it became rather pathetic, right there and then.
I'm slightly worried, but still (quietly) confident they (L&V) will pass through by the skin of their teeth, because of us: GBP.

But remember, a 'surprising twist' was promised in the this QF resultshow....so who knows what will happen........
Just 30 minutes to go.....

I completely agree, Louisas rumba was better than Emmas in most aspects! It deserved better marks, and the judges have plummeted in my opinion of them! grrrrrr
I really hope Louisa and Vincent stay in, ive just run out of credit to vote for them!

Thats not the way the maths crumbles. They do want to get rid of Matt because i think they think he is the weakest dancer. The overall judgement is what Arlene said tonight which is that she doesn't believe it. However they probably can't get rid of Matt because the public are putting him top of the poll for a variety of predictable reasons. Even bottom he will beat Emma if he comes first with the public again.

Tonight is all about Louisa. On last week's public voting order Emma stays if she is two places above Louisa - she is three. Unless she tops the public poll, Louisa goes unless both she beats Mark and Mark beats Matt. if that all happens Matt goes. If she does beat Mark and Matt and Matt beats Mark Emma goes. What you actually danced like has little to do with it - its all about what order the public place the contestants which as we saw on the VT is about anything people think of..

The dance off they have just announced seems even wierder. It probably puts the top dancer versus the bottom one which is pretty pointless .

I tried to vote for him several times but the lines were busy, voted for Mark easily, Matt must be getting some high public votes.

Am I the only one that liked Matt's samba?! It was cute and bouncy and made me smile. Matt always makes me smile when he dances! I hope he stays.

Whats the point of the dance off if they can't change the dance in 10 minutes and the judges majored on whether they liked the choreography? Whats fair anyway - do you get to do your best dance or the same dance if possible? Emma's 34 v Louisa's 33 or her 27 or whatever?

Bad idea. it makes sense to let someone other than the public have the final decision - not least because this is about the only talent show where that happens -its the judges or contestants who decide on X Factor or Fame Academy. You don't change it 90% of the way through the series though. if the judges decide people will call it a fix or teh judges trying to please the public and if they let the public decide the second vote it will change the outcome over the normal proceedure. Might as well toss a coin if the person who goes is top with the judges, bottom with the public but staying and then second with the judges - what on earth would that mean?

Your opinion of the judges has JUST plummeted? Do you mean that you understood their marking over the last couple of weeks?
