Karne's only making a fuss because non of the others are, it's only like when Brendan started and then other pros started chipping in aswell.

I like Karen the dancer too, but she has really got on my nerves during this series (Mark is great though)

I cringe a bit when she gets going (and poor Mark doesn't know where to look!) BUT she had a point when the jive was being savaged for no good reason. If the jive got a 5 from Craig then Emma's Rhumba should have got a 4 at best. Shockingly inconsistent.

The look on his face, just priceless he was enjoying himself. Wish Karen hadn't mentioned his shyness.

I love Mark!!!! But don't want him to win because of Karen. It sucks!

This part of your post is cruel and pointless you don't have to like her but to insult her weight is a cheap shot”

I was wondering if it was my imagination but all the girls' outfits were dreadful except Emma's.Even Lilia looked fat!How is that possible??
Only Emmas was well cut & fitted...but I thought that would be taking conspiracy theories too far.Or is it?Philip on the expert commenatry said how 'well gowned' she was and Arklene said she looked like a golden goddess.
The others' Latin outfits were ghastly.

When she was talking back to the judges (and she wasn’t even making much sense!) I was like SHUT UP!

And if she says ONE MORE TIME ‘He’s worked so hard’!!!!

(Let me make it clear I have NOTHING against Marc!!!!)

Has anyone read her official website
My god - she's SOOOO bitter and emotional about her past career and its just GET OVER IT and think about someone else for a change!

I don't think she realises that this show isn't actually about her!!!! ”

Firstly...what a lazy title....why use an expletive?....poor!

Secondly, do you know the situation regarding her dance career? If so, hav you been in such a position whilst at the top of your game? If not...how can you say to "get over it"?

Finally, Karen, like the other dancers (professionals and celebs) is fighting her corner...saying a few words to get public opinion. They all do it in some way.

Please stop Karen bashing - people complain about Emma bashing but no one has said anything half as hurtful about her! Karen may be a little 'american' for British tastes but she is a passionate champion.

Their Rumba was pulled to shreds last week and yet tonight I saw both Emma and Louisa do very similar dances with barely a peep about techinque and Len actually said though it wasn't to his taste, that is how the Rumba is now done. Pity he wasn't of that opinion last week!

Yes, Karen's Jive did quite hold together but it was extremely technically difficult and they held it together with a few minor mistakes. Can the judges honestly say it is better to do something basic with accuracy and showmanship rather than ambitious and a few minor mistakes?

Seems to me here that whatever Karen & Mark do, they can't win with the judges or increasingly the public.

Imagine how hurt Karen would be if she read these comments about her. You're being so nasty and personal. Its not fair.

Karen I still love you and many others do aswell

The latin outfits can often be horrid!

I'm not fat but know i would feel more secure in a ballroom gown

Someone mentioned she looked like a chocolate wrapper, yes the costumes on the whole really crappy tonight. Has someone been slipping wine to the designers?

Yes, I agree, mentioning his shyness, kind of ruined it for him imo, you could almost see him cringe

I didnt like Bill last year, found the whole thing with him and Karen nauseating. I do like Mark and was quite liking Karen at the beginning but she is way too emotional and takes it all too personally.

I just wish she would talk less and let Mark speak instead instead of jumping in all the time and making a show of herself.

Almost all the outfits were ghastly except for Lilia's and Karen ballroom. Louisa looked like a huge swan or a member of the Klu Klux clan. It did nothing for her and was totally against the spirit of their dance.

Karen's what I would term 'gushing' and, yes, it does grate on me. However, I do have to take exception, Hellbrown, to your assertion that she's got chunky thighs. Whilst there's no doubt her legs are bigger than the other professional women's legs I think chunky is a bit unfair, and I speak as a self-confessed owner of chunky thighs myself. (Maybe that's why I'm sticking up for her on this - if her legs are chunky mine must be elephantine.) I think, much as with Emma last week, it was more the cut/length of the dress that was unflattering and exaggerated the size of her legs. The same thing happened with Louisa's waist - she looked much slimmer in the first dress, I thought.

Why can't she just lose a stone or something!

That would go along way to making her dances alot more graceful and light, some one in my living room didn't get she was the pro either!!

All these people saying I'm not going to vote for Mark now because of Karen, well looking pack at previous posts you weren't going to vote for him anyway.

I think this thread is a classic example of what is wrong with this forum. Fine comment on the dancing but not the looks.

She is standing up for her celeb and herself, nothing wrong with that at all, least she shows a bit of passion.

This topic's getting way too personal. I don't like her, but I wouldn't make personal comments.

Someone needs to slip her a sedative though, hehe.

Karen is a hugely HUGELY talented dancer (doh!) and choreographer - but there is just *something* about her which I can't warm to. I have really really tried, and sometimes I think yeah THATS the real Karen... but then she says somethinlike tonight when she said jive is HER dance (I forget the actual quote) and it makes me dubious all over again. At times (especially last year) she is sooooooooo bubbly and cool and funny but somehow that seems to have become increasingly lost in the competitive thing. Which, don't get me wrong, is FINE. But my impression is that sometimes she takes the whole 'Karen show' type thing too far, and forgets that really she is the vessel (for want of a better word) for showcasing Mark.

When you think of the time and effort she has invested in Mark, she has every reason to stand up for him.

Didnt blame Lillia last week either with her stance over Arlene.
