Don't expect it was a fix, but Little Gritty was beside herself because she couldn't get through. Got really excited because she thought everyone was voting for Louisa.

Eventually got through and voted as many times as my budget would allow. Wonder if other people gave up though. Oh well, we'll never know.

Yeah disgraceful, the phone line was busy, whoopie do .

Can you not just accept that Emma got through? Why do you dislike her so much?

And why the hell would the BBC want to do that - if they wanted the show to be popular, wouldnt they want the most popular contestants in it?

Anyway dont forget that if we didnt have a dance off Louisa would of been out anyway - it would of been impossible to beat Emma unless she was top with the viewers - which she wasnt otherwise she wouldnt of been in the bottom 2.

Why did Emma have to dance before Louisa in the dance off anyway? During the main show, Emma danced last

I managed to vote twice for Louisa - had no problems getting through.

I think dancing lady has a point. Emma danced first so she had longer for the public to vote for her than poor Louisa did.

Perhaps you have the extra week if enough complain.
I got through 4 times but engaged 8 times perhaps they need more phone lines for this

I dont think it made any difference during the dance off.

Emma came top with the judges (4 points) and most likely bottom with the public (1 point) = 5 points.
Louisa came bottom with the judges (1 point) and could not have finished top with the public vote otherwise would have gone through automatically so would have had at most 4 points.
The whole dance off was an excersise in filling up schedule time and had no bearing on the final outcome, a total mess really.

Plus regarding phone lines all had problems, i had issues voting for Mark and Karen, i think it was due to the short time between shows, everyone phoning at the same time.

Why did they change the dance order because Vincent got changed during Tess's chat with the family and friends. Then they went over to Brucie who spoke to both couples at length.

A bit less of the paranoia please.

After the dances finished in the main show, I wanted to vote for Matt and couldn't get through to his line straight away either.

As the series progresses, I think folk are more inclined to vote. More voters means more line congestion.

I take it that those of you who wanted to vote for Louisa did not also try voting for Emma to see if their line also had problems ... !!!!

And of course, Emma's fans (I'm not one) would not be on here complaining, would they?

Well atleast we have a good reason... When Spoony and Ray went all you had was that we're all racist threads on here... Why can't people start threads like this for Louisa...

i won't be watching it now because it is obvious that Emma will win the show. The whole BBC are up her arse it'll be Emma and Mark in the final Mark will lose out but he'll come across as it's ok the better person won (NOT TRUE) and get on with it where as Emma's head will get bigger and bigger and she'll be on my tv screen a hell of alot more over christmas and next year...fun.

So the dance order can't have been to give Vincent time to get ready

It's done now! Even if Emma wins, her album still wouldn't make it to the top of the charts!

its disgraceful, that louisa must have had more votes then emma to start with to be in the bottom 2 with emma, who must have been the least popular, so in the space of 10 mins or so, she over took lousia,
smell and rat come to mind”

Emma's line was busy too; and Emma could have been ahead on the public vote before the dance off.

I know! Emma top with Judges, to be in bottom 2 must have received lowest public vote, so how come she overtook Louisa during the Dance Off?

Thats where you are wrong. To put Emma in the bottom two, the leaderboard for the public vote must have been reversed, i.e. Emma last with public vote and Louisa first. So they would have had the same number of points.

Without the dance-off, Emma would have been out as in a tie, the public vote is counted as more important. Louisa would have STAYED.
Typical.

I tried 6 times to vote for Louisa but couldn't get through - i could understand if it was a normal engaged tone which meant other people were voting for her but it was a bt message saying that the network was busy - which i don't think is the same thing. i think it's unfair and they should not have to leave the competition.

I'm not particularly fond of Emma - I wish I knew why, but I wouldn't go so far as to say she's useless. Judges fave, yes, but I wish I was as useless as her at dancing.
Each to their own though

I got an engaged tone once but got through fine the other times.

It sounded like they were carrying forward the votes from the main show, and Emma already had max points from the judges, so I wonder if it was just a case of her having to play catch up to Emma's points and not having enough time? Not certain how it was working.

Voted twice from mobile and once from friend's landline and had only one engaged tone.

No youre wrong. Louisa couldnt possibly of had equal points with Emma - if she did she would of been top with the viewers and so it would of been Mark or Matt in the dance off.

And, of course, there are fewer people to vote for, so more voters on each line.

Yes! And they gave out Emma's number on screen before Louisa had even danced, so much less time.

FINALLY SANITY ON THIS THREAD if you think the bbc as an organisation are conspiring to keep Emma in the competion then you really are sad.Im pretty sure all votes on reality shows have to have an independent adjucicator.ZOE BALL was in the bottom TWO WEEKS IN AN ROW and still made the final, just like Emma
