ARGH. He just SHOULDN'T BE THERE. Louisa, Mark AND Emma should.”

Nope, sorry, don't agree. Matt is way better than Emma. He deserves his place.

Between Mark and Matt, Matt is the better dancer.

He is technically good, has fantastic lines and holds himself better than Mark.

Mark's lunges are stilted, he holds his jaw out, his shoulders are hunched and he's stilted with many of his steps. Mark has a more visible relaxed style than Matt and Mark lets himself go but to the detrement of the dance and technical requirements.

Matt started off slowly and was way behind Mark in the dancing stakes but has now overtaken him and is the better dancer.

I agree! Maybe he can dance a bit, but Louisa, Mark and Emma are all better.

Was it Colin's rooomba at 32 and the previous highest?
There is no comparison Colin's is far and away superior - no way was Emma's tonight the best Rooomba there has been through 4 series of SCD

Well, maybe the BBC think that people aren't silly enough to vote for Matt when he doesn't deserve it.

It was the same in the first series when Julian Clarey made it to the final, he was absolutely crap as well.”

Julian Clary wasn't in the final

And there is nothing wrong with Matt - he has come so far and got so much better with his Latin

Yes his ballroom has been phenomenal, his latin has improved. Lilia's choreography has been the most orginal and the best in the competition. Matt and Lilia deserve to be there - definitely

There would be no ITT (and that would make me ).
There would be no VT clips before the dancing.
No interviews with the dancers/celebs.
No interviews with random fans, members of family, offspring, famous friends, etc
The judges would just give their scores without any posturing or kerfuffle.
Would possibly make for a less entertaining prime time Saturday tea time show, but that's the price you pay.”

agree 100% - the show is a perfect mix of entertainment and dancing...if it was just one or the other it would not be the fantastic show that it is.

Oh, he was - he knocked Aled out in the semi final (and please it's best not to get me started on that).
But the final was 3 couples, Jill/Darren, Denise/Ian and Julian/Erin.

In your opinion, he doesn't deserve it. Others obviously disagree.

Colin got 36 for his rumba, even though it was worth at least one 10

Yep. And I disagree. Matt is better than Emma. It is between Matt and Mark IMO.

Scissor Sister, I agree with a lot of what you have to say.

I'm a really big Lilia fan but have never taken to Matt. Find him sarcastic, miserable (when he does smile its so false) and very arrogant. He's a pretty good dancer in the waltz but thats about it. He should have gone tonight and I wish he had, tho' I would have missed seeing Lilia.

I don't understand why he's still there. How people can say that he's a better dancer than Mark is beyond me.

I felt sorry for Louisa leaving tonight and I think a lot of people will blame Matt for that.

And as for that comment that Craig said regarding people should vote for the dancing rather than the personalities, he's spot on and well done to him for saying it. The public do vote for personality over the dancing (so why vote Matt?!) and that is why it should be left to the judges to decide who goes through, not the public.

Oh well, over on X-Factor Ben was eliminated ahead of Ray! It's a Saturday some fans of both shows would want to forget!

He wasn't very good at first but he is now a beautiful and competent ballroom dancer and a good Latin dancer.

Furthermore I stick by my guns that the male's have the harder role.

Not only do they have to be technically correct but they have to be able to execute lifts and lead their partner.

They have a harder job than the girls so I firmly believe that he should be there and he should win.”

The fact that Matt Dawson has improved is neither here nor there, he has not improved a significant amount, he is still crap and should not be there next week, Emma, Louisa and Mark should be there. No one is disputing that the male's have the harder role Matt should not be there and does not deserve to win, he should stick to cooking, although he should not have won that either.

This week, even the judges thought he was worthy of a place, and not bottom of the leader board.

He is there by right - he had a high enough combined judges/viewer points total to ensure that he wasn't in the dance off.

Sarcasm is quite funny. Have you seen him on QOS? He is quite often hilarious.

Arrogant? Really? Ok...

If they think that after the Chris Parker debacle then they're sadly mistaken and a bit slow on the uptake, don't ya think...???

And "doesn't deserve it" depends on what the public are voting for - improvement? Natural ability? Hard work? Being out of the comfort zone?

Like I said, if it was purely about the dances you see on the night, then why have phone voting at all - indeed, why have celebs?

I think that you must be watching a different show to me. I have seen lots of footage of Matt and Lilia fooling around and sending themselves up. Indeed I even saw that quoted yesterday as 'biased VT footage' to show that Matt isn't taking it seriously!

So he wants to win? What's so wrong about that. He listens intelligently to the judges' comments and works on whatever they mention.

He doesn't try and justify himself or talk about how difficult he is finding it. And he seems prepared to take the final decision gracefully, without a quivering lip.

By all means, criticise the dancing but your post was way into irrelevant personal criticism.

Instead of the Good Fairy going out tonight, it should have been the Wicked Witch of the West.

Louisa really wanted this contest while to Cry Baby Spice it was just publicity for her BBC sponsored (at license payers expense) ""career"" :roll eyes: revival.

Next week we can all be singing Ding Dong the Witch is Dead with any luck.

Any one of the two boys or Louisa would be fine by the vast majority of the GREAT BRITISH PUBLIC.

Next year, SCD should consider an under and over 40's (years, not Emma's hip measurement) contest with the two winners meeting in the Grand Final.

If it Matt/Emma final I wont be watching as will not a few people I know.

All right I made a mistake, I meant to say Chris Parker so nobody else will need to pick me up.
