From a big Lilia fan I have to admit that I think Matt should have gone tonight. I think he was the worst of the dancers left and Louisa should have gone through. The fact that Emma and Darren were in the bottom two is a joke also. The public shouldn't decide who should stay and go, it should be the judges. We all know the public vote for their favourite people, not the best dancers.

Not many people are fair, people have their favourites and will stand by them even if they dance terribly. They wouldn't admit it. I admit that, as a Lilia fan, that I don't think Louisa should have gone tonight. It was fair having Mark through, and Emma, but it should have been Louisa too.

I cried when Louisa got out. She was overall a really good dancer and a really sweet girl.

And I don't want any Emma bashing on this thread either. Seems every other thread has someone being really personal against Emma. Not on this thread ok?

Sigh. Not again, it's not Matt's fault Louisa went. That is the judges fault. She is better than Emma, so is Matt. No bashing, just something I think is obvious. Sorry.

If it was just down to the judges there would be no point in having the competition as Emma would have won from day 1.

So it wouldn't be a public participation show and therefore it wouldn't be popular and therefore the BBC would not re-commission it.

Bang goes our dancing show and more years with little or no coverage in the mainstream media.

People like to know that they can vote for who they want. I agree on one level that it is frustrating that popularity often comes higher than talent, especially in the earlier weeks. I would love to have seen the likes of Spoony and Ray get further than they did. But you know the rules of the game before you take part and so do the celebrities.

I wouldn't call it a dancing show as such, it's just yet another reality television entertainment show. Yeah, it loosely features dancing, but in all honesty nothing within the show is really about the dancing anymore. I couldn't care less if they stopped showing it. It's had it's time now, and it's getting boring.

I know, it's getting tedious isn't it? Matt is still there, deal with it! I for one will keep voting for him because he's better than Emma and I'm confident the GMR bunch will keep Mark in!

I'm a huge follower of dancesport, and some of my favourite professional dancers have featured on the show in the past, such as Paul Killick, Hanna Karttunen, Hazel Newberry, and this series, Matthew and Nicole Cutler. Therefore I'm interested to see what the general public make of them.

And also, on here I occasionally stumble across a few threads relating to competitive dancing, which can be interesting.

Suffice to say that I also support the idea of the public having the final say as to who wins (in the event of a draw, the public vote counts as 51% of the final score), otherwise it would simply be "Come Dancing" by another name & would have failed as a series for exactly the same reason; i.e. no real sense of involvement for the viewers.

La Rhumba, yes I do like Lilia, I am just honest enough to admit I don't particularly like Matt. So no more comments like that please.

ugh!?! erm "dancesport" is that really what you call it? I used to do competitive dancing (not ballroom) but it's not a sport! The entertainment is what dancing should be all about surely!

I agree that it's about the entertainment, passion, beauty and intricacy, but the athleticism, training and lifestyle that it involves makes it a sport also. In my eyes, it is an art and a sport.

But seeing as though competitive Standard and Latin American dancing is officially known as dancesport, I'll continue to call it that, otherwise people may be confused and think that I'm into social dancing or something - God, no!

I agree. If the judges were so concerned with her going, they should not have put her at the bottom themselves!
