Right, ok... Sooooo...

Some people have really nasty remarks about Brendan on this forum, not naming anyone personally ... I just want to know what he's done...

More over I also want to say that some of the comments that have been made about him are so far out it is hurtful to me as a student and friend of his...

Everyone keeps arguing about Emma on here, and its so lovely to see people stick up for her, but I'm just waiting to see how many then come on here to bad mouth Brendan... After all isn't it the same, editing to make him out to be a bad boy, newspapers stringing anything they can together to make a story...

I for one know that Brendan isn't violent, cruel or abusive mentally or physically... If you believe the cr*p that Fiona Philips comes out with then that's your problem...

Brendan has been there for me through some really tough times... He has been a star over the last year (well just under) and I just don't get how some of the stupid comments come out about him... Its so ...

Ohhh btw the idea of this thread came from all the Emma threads, and at first for a bit of fun but then realised that I'm actually annoyed hehe... Don't know what to think of it really just if I wrote it in the Brendan thread you lot wouldn't be able to read it...

Although I did become a bit obsessed with that impression Patrick Keiltydid of him during LI - I keep hearing that voice now!

Brendan hasn't done anything to me...but I can't help imagining all the things he could do to me were I to get him alone...

Ohhh I like the way the threads going hehe... Brendan is like a big cuddly tigger .... I'm just really curious why people have to be so personal in their attacks on him... But it seems that maybe only the Angels will appear ...

I just find him objectionable! I find his attitude revolting, his egotism repellent and his attitude to women disgusting! Nuf said!

I completely respect Brendan as a dancer and he does seem extremely passionate about his dancing which is fantastic. However I do believe sometimes his passion distracts attention away from his celebrity partner's dancing. With the case of Claire this year. I don't necessarily think he did it intentionally, but netherless it did spoil her dancing with his comments. Fair enough he can make them but not at that time. I felt sorry for Claire.

Brendan has done nothing to me. He did, in fact, go up in my estimation this series. What he said to the judges was the truth and remains the truth (unfortunately)

However, I do think your opening post would read better if you didn't do exactly the same thing that you are annoyed about people doing to Brendan, to FP.

Fact he's hardly likely to be backing Mark on tonights ITT JJ is already named as the Mark supporter but that hardly makes him public enemy number 1 does it...or hurtful just because he doesn't back your personal favourite as far as I was aware its a free country and everyone is allowed to express different viewpoints

PS that wasn't aimed at Coronis her post just happened to be before mine so sorry if it looked that way,it was just a general remark addressed to the inevitable comments that will appear on the ITT thread this evening I feel

I think this is a good idea, Kaos. I have seen some of the things people have said about Brendan and have been amazed by how easy it seems to judge people on here without the advantage of actually knowing them.

I have posted in several threads in defence of Emma (but have also tempered many of my posts with mention of the other celebs and the pros who have been the recipients of some quite uncalled for remarks). I have no idea why people think it necessary to do this - especially as (as I have pointed out at length quite often), most of the things that are said wouldn't be uttered if they were face to face with the person they were so gleefully insulting.

It's so very easy to hide behind the anonymity that a forum like this offers and some people take advantage of that.

I actually warmed to Brendan this year and found him very endearing. I won't say he's one of my favourites (I already have too many!), but I think he's a wonderful dancer and comes across very well as a person.

I think the media and the BBC 'creative' editing are to blame for some of this - adding fuel to the fire (not only in Brendan's case but in others' as well). But then again, I'll never understand why people are firstly so gullible as to believe them and then feel it necessary to join in and make derogatory statements about someone they have never met.

I hope others of like mind post on here to reassure you that what you have read has been from a small (and unimportant) minority.
