I didn't say it causes him heartache, I wouldn't know - but I think it could and certainly would upset his family. This forum does seem to incur particularly vindictive behaviour towards certain individuals. It is just something I would never do and can't understand in other people. For Brendan's work, I'd say it is beneficial for him to be in the public eye. As for the gossip columns, he has done nothing to try to be in them. It is, anyway, mostly made-up column-filling rubbish.

They dont make that much money doing what they do I wonder if he is just trying to get as much as he can for as long as he can, as dancers careers dont last that long, and who knows how long he will be in SCD for... but if you go down this celebrity road, you have to face the rubbish that goes with it... and he should be prepared for a lot of that to come..

Why would you have a problem with that if, indeed, it's true? By all means take issue with celebrity wannabes who have done nothing whatsoever to earn their place in the spotlight. I am no particular fan of Brendan's, but he has reached the top - or very near the top - of his profession by talent, sheer hard work and application. You don't achieve what he has unless you have REALLY worked for it. If he DOES want celebrity as well - so what? He's an ambitious individual - is that a sin?

My friend at work emailed Brendan today to see about getting a lesson. Shes been dancing for ages and wants to see what she can pick up from him. We are waiting for a reply!!!!

I've emailed about having a lesson too, and am still waiting for a reply. This was four months ago!!

I lose all respect who are ambitious for fame just so they can be admired for nothing! When he was a dancer...(is a dancer I should say) I can have a little respect for him - all the sheer hard word and all that you spoke about! But then he did love island not because he's a dancer but because of 'celebrity' - he goes to premiers and things not because it will further a dancing career he can be proud of, but just to be another z-list celebrity so he can sign people's autographs! I agree that everyone has to earn a living - but there are PLENTY of jobs where you can earn money without losing your self respect!
