yes...the BBC are very clever, they give hims dancers who a) don't fancy him and b) aren't fantastic dancers.....I can easily see how that could tip anyone over the edge...

I think he is a good teacher - a couple of DS posters have had lessons with him and have said he is very good and enjoys it. However, there is only so much you can do with people who have limited ability. He said himself today that he and Claire got much further than he expected them to.

LI was to try to redress the false image the BBC had stuck on him - which he succeeded in doing to a great extent This latest venture is to get some voice training which might open up other avenues, perhaps in theatre. Didn't he once say his mother sings - maybe he is just doing it for her.
Whatever his motives are, he has to find something to do for the rest of his working life. Perhaps he could go into TV work and this show could help in that. He comes across as articulate and this is probably why he has been chosen to do the red button commentary for the Christmas special. Although a lot will be disappointed not to see him dance, this might actually be a better thing for him to do in the long run.”

Why isn't Brendan dancing then - is it coz of his alleged bust up with Claire? I must have missed something somewhere

I don't think its that... Don't forget that we only see what the BBC want us to see... Yes the celebs have came out and said he was this a that but the point is we don't know what happens when they have arguements... Same for every couple...

It is more like because Karen isn't as she was with Mark - it was already recorded this week. A number of the pros didn't take part at all.

I can totally see how dust ups happen. You are having to learn a completley new thing, in a short space of time and then be expected to compete - really, a bit of a pout is only to be expected. I would say though, that in that situation, that the pro dancer should be the one keeping their cool and not blowing up. Again, I understand it must be hard, but they are the pro's and they can actually do the dancing!

(and I really dislike the use of the word passionate to describe behaviour that in a normal workplace would have you up before a disiplinary panel!)
