Hi all. I'm thinking of ordering the Toshiba 37WLT66 lcd with freeview. Can any body confirm whether or not this set has a card slot so that I can use my Top Up TV card in it?

I've got the 32WLT66 and that's got two slots for putting Top-Up TV cards (Conditional Access Modules) in. I'm pretty sure the only difference between the 32 and the 37 is the screen size, so you should be safe.

Thanks, I thought it had but then a muppet, sorry - I mean salesperson - in Comet said that they don't, yet I thought I could see where it was on the back of the set?

I have a 37WLT66, and can confirm that it has one card slot on the rear, marked DVB Common Interface. Brilliant TV, great pictures, good sound, and loks not half bad either.

louise1966, it doesn't have PIP

Great - thanks for that, I've read some mixed reviews about them, mainly complaints about a buzzing sound from the backlight? Think am gonna go for it and order tonight.

If you can need both backlight and contrast on full then your eyesight is going. You will need to reduce the backlight level to get a bareable white level, and that reduces the buzzing.
