lol now that would have been funny

I think tbh that no-one really thought Matt would be any good - i think its purely because he's sooo competative and desperate to win that he applies himslef completely! As well as the traing he's reading books and watching films and training DVDs. He's being as throrough in his preparation as the England rugby team for 2003 - and its paying off!

I would imagine it's by height first of all, and then everyone who's of a middle-ish height is random. Although some people do seem to have more luck than others.

My husband doesn't read any forums about it though he watches ITT and SCD with me every time it's on. I fill him in occasionally on what he terms as 'mundane' trivia' from the forums. He said about ITT today: Not Bunton again. None of the others have ever had a sychophantic montage like that. Ever. It's become the Emma and Darren show and I am sick of it'. Funny how more and more people are picking up on this love-fest.
I said to him afterwards that I wish she did more for me. Her dancing must be consistent as so many pros praise her but I just can't bear her dancing. I feel empty watching it and it might well be technically good but it's hollow. I wish I did like her and her dancing, it would make me feel less sick about Saturday and the prospect of her getting through. I couldn't stand Zoe but I did enjoy some of her dances and would not have been upset if she'd won - certainly not as upset as I will be if Emma wins. Weird and a shame as the love fests might be ok if you like her.... still shameless promotion and wrong.

I hardly think when Matt was "assigned" to Lilia they expected him to get this far in the competition, so that is a non=starter really. Darren, height=wise could only have been paired with Emma or Louisa, as could Vincent, so it is that which decided who he danced with.

Tonights show was dedicated to Emma and Darren, just like last night was Mark and Karen. Tomorrow night will be devoted to Matt and Lilia, so I fail to see the problem. And, personally, I thought it was good to see one of the professionals, arguably the best choreographer there, get the credit they deserve for their routines. Also good to see the other professionals crediting one of their own with great choreography and they should know.

It does seem as if some forum members would complain about 2 seconds of Emma in the week as overkill, which is a little ironic, as those who are the most vocal about BBC bias seem to be the most biased themselves.

It is interesting that many of the top professionals are supporting Emma as the best all round dancer, again they should know, and despite all the vitriol on here at times about the paso doble it was interesting to hear James say how good it was, and Erin say that it deserved a 10! I think that must prove something, unless you believe all the professionals are part of a conspiracy too, and that they, along with the judges, don't know what they are talking about.

I'm not Emma bashing and I defended her on another thread a few day ago (just thought I should mention this). But I do think this week has been "Emma exposure" week. She was in the studio on Monday and she was on today. And I do think there was a feature about her yesterday as well. In comparison we haven't seen half as much stuff about Matt (and guess what he is not my favourite). I think that everyone is entitled to support who they want (e.g. Erin and Anton), but Engelbert Humperdink, did he even know who he was talking about.

Well at least the trees are supporting the boys (although I fear they will be interviewed tomorrow admitting that they had been bribed, and that they really want to support Emma).

PS: Sorry i mentioned this on another thread too, but I'm getting annoyed now.

it's just a matter of personal choice - I didn't like Emma's paso (again, I really hated the music and she was pulling an odd face) and her rumba. But the ballroom has been very good and the samba was great

After all she obviously doesn't need our votes when the rest of the dancing world and the BBC are rooting for her. Poor Mark and Matt only supported by the "christmas trees" ”

Come on, Trish -anyone who reads this forum knows there was very little chance of you voting for Emma (and of course, thats completely your choice) but please dont make out as if you could have been swayed but for ITT on one night!

Matt is on tomorrow so will have his turn in the limelight. What was the feature on Emma yesterday, I must have missed it? Why is anyone getting annoyed at the fact that Emma featured on tonights show? Nobody complained that last night was a Mark and Karen love-fest, and they had the same amount of time devoted to them, and they featured more in the argentine tango clip tonight as well.

How can you say it's the same? The montage today was a complete Emma love fest. They've never showed anything like that for the other contestants. Yes, they have them on and show them something from their past week, they do not, however, get everyone telling them how the sun shines out their backside etc. the fact that my hubby who quite likes her said: What is this Emma love fest and asked why no one else has had something that blatant before says a lot to me. Anyway, it only adds to my refusal to ever vote for her. Yes, she is consistent but I will not be forced to like someone and vote for them when they do nothing for me. The pros are entitled to their opinion and if they are supporting Emma, great for her. they have to be honest, but I think the channel hosting it should be less blatant as should hosts and producers etc

Yip Mark & Karen were on last night & how very nice that was. But have you forgotten Emma & Darren were featured on Monday night also.

I have nothing against Emma at all, but I think ITT/BBC need to give the remaining dancers equal air time.

I accept claire2281's point as usual (down with the tinfoil hat brigade etc.), but I found the amount of sycophancy on tonight's ITT a bit hard to stomach (and it would have been the same had it been directed at Mark or Matt).

Perhaps I'm just fed up with the lack of a star couple this year and find the usual-at-this-stage attempts to big up/promote three couples that really aren't that good (compared to SCD2 & SCD3 finalists) a bit unconvincing.

Yes, Emma is very, very consistent. But, unfortunately, she is very, very consistently boring. Am not impressed, will never supporther. Thus speak I, as a member of the GBP.

To be fair I feel sorry for both Darren and Emma on a personal level, she is my least favourite celeb left in terms of dancing, but it’s not her fault the way the beeb and judges have over gushed. It’s not like a Zoe Ball type situation for me, where they killed a bit of her popularity and she killed the rest. I can't remember that Emma has really done anything herself, i think it’s pretty much all been done by them.

Sorry, batmobile, but your hubby's view is not really likely to influence me at all, although obviously it has influenced you. I suppose "love fest" is the new in phrase this week then? And how could you be "forced" to vote for someone? Who do you feel is trying to force you. If people on the show, be it professionals or others, feel Emma is the best dancer, has been the most consistent and deserves a place in the final, they have every right to say so.

But, peeps, was it really that biased? Was it truly the Emma Bunton roadshow? If it's not balanced out with A Markfest and Mattfest on Thursday and Friday (unlikely, as Karen and Mark appeared on Tuesday) this situation is really getting out of hand now. Who is going to pop up in support of Emma next? The Pope? The Queen? The Dalai Lama?

BTW, I'm not having a pop at any Emma fans, everyone is entitled to support whoever they like, but come on, you have to admit, there's something fishy here. Last week Karen and Mark's picture was even missing from the BBC SCD flash page! ”

Well we are 3 days into semi week and every show has had a major element of promoting Emma .
Monday , we get Emma in short interview , Craig and Bruno whooping it up over the tango and roooomba, both having a go at Mark .
Tuesday , a good day for Mark .Len says how he mastered really difficult moves, hovver crosses etc , and James supports him and a great Interview but ............ we ahve an indepth study of what went wrong with the jive ,Can't have a show without Emma , so Len praisesd her tango and Rooomba to the skies , Brendan supports her to win .
Tonight took the biscuit , I know it was HER night but she gets in on the others' night as well.
Huge montage praising Darren and all that with len was just nauseating .

At least matt is learning the foxtrot well and Mark is being praised highly by the AT coach.

Now I do not dislike Emma , I do find her colourless , and i can see she can dance and could at the start .Easily possible to see ballet training in her extensiosn , which Darren puts in every dance .
But ITT has become nothing but a promo vid for Emma .She may not be responsible, but she could have stopped it as she must know what is going on .
Surely someone has read this forum ?

Emma has done nothing wrong I do like her! I just prefer others - it does however wind me right up to be labelled a "Emma Hater" because I don't vote for her.

It's my money and my choice!

Err, just about everyone on here is a member of the GBP and I, for one, fully support Emma and Darren. I was not a Spice girls fan - just really like their dancing. You cant really presume to talk for Great Britain.
I can understand that they dont appeal to some people - but nearly every thread on here is turning into a vehicle to poke fun at Emma -I have decided that this will be the last time I will defend them as there really seems to be no point with some forumites.
