Agreed. I find it just as annoying to hear about how much of a sexy symbol Mark is and how much of a j-word Matt has come along. It's getting like a broken record.

I'd rather see more behind the scenes and training footage.

Yeah, they're all pretty good and all pretty equal but no one wows me. The closest anyone comes is some of Matt's ballroom.

If people on the show, be it professionals or others, feel Emma is the best dancer, has been the most consistent and deserves a place in the final, they have every right to say so.”

I would hope my hubby's view would not influence you as it would make you a very fickle person to be influenced by someone you don't know. I was merely pleased that somebody independent of the forum has seen for themselves the complete bias shown towards Emma. I've been using that phrase to refer to anything sychophantic for people who want a definition of it. I am entitled to use whatever phrase I feel is appropriate to describe something. Ok, by making Emma the centre of every show and showing nothing but her good points they are certainly attempting to influence people.
If you had actually bothered to read my thread properly, I said that it is perfectly acceptable for anyone not involved directly with production and/ or presenting the show to root for whomever they choose. Instead of interpreting a post as you feel fit to suit your view, try reading what was actually said.

I wouldn't worry dinosaur to be honest. Emma and Darren seem well able to rise above the lunacy that sometimes appears on here from certain people (not the ones who put a sensible view across or support other couples btw, merely those who have to make unjustified and unfair remarks who hopefully are in the minority but tend to be vocal). Despite all the heckling and wishing her out of the series etc. over many weeks, she is still there and has made it to the last three, and the last remaining female celebrity, so she has done really well even if she is voted out this week.

You are right about certain forumites, it is a waste of time expecting them to see any good in Emma or her dancing at all (again a minority of people on here, most seem able to appreciate a good dance when they see one, ) so I expect to see the same comments for the next two weeks and beyond to be honest.

Mark and Karen last night had the latter part of the program for their interview and their footage was about how well they get on (I think) there were no interviews of support (unlike Emma's tonight with judges and pros etc) and they ran out of time (again convenient). Emma's and Darren's interview at the start of the program so to me there was longer for the interview and then the lovefest footage. Last night's ITT was not all about M and K (again it seems unlike E and D tonight) as they had James and Brendan on supporting Mark and Emma respectively although I have to hand it to James who also said good things about Matt.Tonight all about Emma. My opinion.

Are you perhaps forgetting the gushing montage about Mark's smile?

I still say why worry about this whole supposed conspiracy lark - it clearly doesn't work as she's getting the least amount of public votes! Same thing apparently happened with Zoe last year and look how that affected her public support too.

I take great exception to this .
I have no feeling either way about Emma Bunton, I certainly do not hate her and I would guess no one here HATES her. I ma happy to acknowledge that she can dance , but it does not appeal to me .
It is simply a matter of a level playing field and since CIN week it has not been and maybe not before.

It is grossly unfair to all the other competitors and has been for weeks .
Not an edition of ITT has passed where every opportunity has been taken to fit in a very pro Emma item , she gets no criticism on ITT whilst Mark gets little but , and Matt the same .
Every chance is found to flag up Mark's faults and to a lesser extent Matt's .It is a case of one step forward and two back for Mark .

Poor Matt and Mark. Only Claudia mentioned them and gave them each a tree in support so she obviously feels uncomfortable with it all.

Is that directed at me?

If it was then I think you misunderstood my post, or else I didn’t explain it very well, I’m on flu meds, that’s the excuse and I’m sticking to it!

I too am sick and tired of the people who label everyone who has a less than glowing opinion of Emma as ‘haters’. She is also my least favourite in terms of personality, I find her a bit dull, sorry. I was just thinking out loud (online?) I suppose that in terms of her own behaviour she hasn’t done anything specifically wrong herself, and that it’s the beeb who have screwed up the whole Emma campaign.

If it wasn’t directed at me them I’m sorry for any confusion, and for being over sensitive.

I thought Len only looked at the good or at least tries to except when it's Mark when he looks at the bad, bad, bad.

That smiley footage was during another brief M and K interview on a Tuesday. Didn't see any judges or celbs or pros gushing about him though in support.

Of course and what a useful montage that was.... That's exactly the kind of rubbish that makes people think Mark supporters are only that because of his looks. It's pointless to keep saying it is a 'dance show' and then instead of giving each amateur credit for their dancing, going on about completely idiotic irrelevancies.
Personally, as one of the people who has consistently said that Emma's dancing might be great but does nothing for me and Mark's dancing always makes me feel happy/ elated/positive etc, I feel if they can garble together a montage like the one tonight for Emma, which on it's own would have been fine, they should do exactly the same for the other dancers in the competition.
There is no conspiracy, there is however a lot of bias. If all you Emma supporters had to watch the same sort of thing with any other contestant you would be just as fed up. you just enjoy watching it and therefore cannot see it. Let's be rational. It's not her fault they have selected her, hey, we could even argue it has been detrimental to her in some ways, but it is there.

I certainly think he is, but the blanket coverage and the length of that montage was just a step too far for me (and I started this series feeling Darren was my favourite male professional).”

but why should emma be deprived of the winning spot because people don't like the selling emma stuff---- helloo she is the best dancer!

Claire, I have been watching your posts with interest for a while now and feel it is time to speak up - THERES A SENSIBLE PERSON ON THIS FORUM! Yay!

You neither praise nor defame Emma and always make your points in a fair and consistent manner. Oh no, maybe I shouldnt have praised you - I will be accused of atarting a claire2281 lovefest!
Anyway, seriously, your posts always interest me -not in a spooky single white female way, dont worry!

Completely not directed at you!

Not directed at anyone person more at the the label I don't get that because I and others prefer different dancers dancers to Emma's were almost regarded as bullies becuase we get frustrated at ITT and the judges sometimes.

As I keep saying (but is often glossed over) I do like Emma and if she releases a good single I buy it I just prefer others,

I picked up my phone to vote for her in the dance off on Saturday and if she was in the dance off again (if there is one) against Matt I would probably vote for her then too.

Trouble is everything on this forum can seem black and white you either love or hate Emma and I do neither.

Hope you feel better

I think you’ve got it right! That does seem to be their plan, if they keep bashing us around the head with the ‘vote Emma!’ stick maybe we’ll all give in!

I thought it was embarassing and insulting and did Mark nothing but harm to be honest .
Very nice smiley pics , but the import was , it isn't the fact that he can dance well that matters, it's his attractive smile .

I would have complained if I were him!!!!!

Another example of the BBC highlighting whatever feature of each contestant that they want .

I suspect you will find the other two are VERY much aware that favouritism is going on .

I think having no favourites left in has allowed me to take a step back and be more objective. If this was series 2 with Aled it'd be an entirely different matter. Damn you Clary!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's a conspiracy by the BBC to make me everyone's favourite poster. I've got Matt Cutler, The Pope and Santa on ITT tomorrow supporting me. They'll be a montage of my best posts (ignoring all my typos obviously)

Honestly, I have enjoyed everyone left in the competition in different dances and really don't mind who wins. It would be fairly entertaining to watch this forum explode in a shower of pink and indignation should it be Emma. Although no where near as entertaining as the XFactor forum should Ray win.

I'm sure they all are aware of the favouritism but the sportsmen get my admiration for being honourable and getting on with the job. Not complaining about injuries or other stuff they would have every right to complain about.

I have just read all of this post and i dont know whether to laugh or cry. it has put my life into perspective so thank you all. (not trying to be nasty but have just realised ive wasted 10/15 minutes of my life reading this). Can we just not agree to differ???(no i suppose not)

My opinion is that whenever i switch the tv on Emma is there and its getting a tad annoying but thats neither here or there. The same is true for john barrowman. Ever since i found out he was gay he's been everywhere rubbing my face into it. (and yes im still devastated). Anyway i dont think its Emmas fault. And believe me i never thought i would be saying that about Emma. Unfortunatly her dancing still lacks pizazz, and her partnership with Darren is bland. But oh well. t'will be over soon and we'll all get hooked on celeb BB anf completley forget about all this.

Remember: Christmas is a time for peace and good will to all men, even Emma Bunton. (sorry im high on sugar)
