Torchwood Double-Bill to end series One

Hot on the heels of the recommission and move to BBC Two... the Christmas Radio Times reveals that the series ends with a double-bill from 2130 on New Year's Day.

Of course, that's after we've enjoyed 'The Sarah Jane Adventures' pilot "Invasion of the Bane" that afternoon.

Also, don't forget new BBC7 McGann audios begin on New Year's Eve at 1800/midnight, Pt. 1 of "Blood of the Daleks"

Oh, and there's "The Runaway Bride" on Christmas Day.

We never had it so good!

I know what you mean. As a 30 something bloke, I should know better, but I am feeling slightly spoiled at the moment.

My family are in danger of becomming Doctor Who orphans!

Still, I waited 16 years for the series to come back... the Beeb have plenty of catching up to do!

I thought the NYD episode was "Captain Jack Harkness"?

Are they running straight from it into "Apocalypse"?

There's also an hour long Doctor Who Confidential on Christmas day at 1pm.

Quote:
“ Doctor Who Confidential goes behind the scenes of the musical celebration of Doctor Who, performed at the home of Cardiff's very own time rift, the Wales Millennium Centre. Featuring a full orchestral treatment of Murray Gold's score from the first two series and an exclusive preview of the forthcoming Christmas special The Runaway Bride. ”

Isn't the last Torchwood called "End of Days" not Apocalypse? Or was that the old title and it has changed?

Hope not. End of Days was the title of the penultimate Buffy episode. Think that would take RTD's Whedon wannabe (by his own admission) show a touch far in that direction..

On DS, it says that the last episode is titled 'End of Days'.

TV.com and BBC homepage say 'Apocalypse'.

There's also a 3-HOUR "Doctor Who" special on Radio One from 4pm to 7pm on Christmas Day. Slight overkill there.

True, but Torchwood wasn't borne out of watching a Arnie film and saying "we should make a show like that". It was with with Buffy/Angel.
