Stutter
RyFish

I got my Digihome PVR160 a couple of days ago and was initially very pleased, but over the last 24 hours I've noticed that ITV3 and every other channel on the same mux stutters quite badly every 10-60 seconds.

According to the technical details on my PC card the signal strength and signal/noise ratio are stronger than on the BBC mux, which suffers from no problem!

Does anyone know what the problem is - very long GOPs perhaps - and if there's a way to fix it? If I can't fix it soon I'm going to have to take it back to the shop and get a different machine. It's on firmware 4.9, by the way.

you can try formatting the drive as sometimes it can become a bit corrupt, if it is still doing so then check that the pass trhough cable at the back is ok. try using another lead, ie you may be getting good signal on the one that your watching but poor on the one that records etc and it may be cause of the lead. if your brave then you can try to reload the firware incase it wasnt installed properly if that fails then I suggest that you take it back for an exchange unless someone knows of something else for you to try

hope this helps
