Occasionally when I change channels the picture goes. It comes on for a sec and then goes. Pressing PIP restores the picture... unless I'm recording because PIP doesn't work then! Any other ideas?

Which software version are you running?

There is a problem which can cause this to happen. The workaround is to press the pause button and then pause or play again. There will be an OTA early next year that will fix this or you can download software off Humaxs web site to fix this if you are able to update the PVR manually.

It happens when watching live, not playback.

When it happens ... press menu twice.

This is what I meant magister - live - not during playback. When you are in live TV and you change channel and it goes blank, press pause and then press pause or play again - if necessary the skip button to return completely to live. This is one of the workarounds I think. There is an FAQ about this blanking problem on hummy.org.uk forums. So I apologise in advance if you are supposed to press guide twice or menu twice - I havent looks at the FAQ on it since the summer.

You are probably on version 1.00.06 or before which is broadcast live. The fix for this issue is from versions .08 which are manual downloads at the moment from Humaxs web site. If you cant do this manually one of the workarounds mentioned in the FAQ will need to be used if it continues to be a problem.

Pressing menu twice returns the picture ... it also returns Interactive text if its failing to appear which happens occasionally on 1.00.06.
