Just been on the website (very slow) - not sure whether that is a mistake or not... can't find out any more info about it as the "More Info" link doesn't seem to be working as it takes me to a blank page.

If that price is correct and I had £150 sitting around, i'd buy one.

Colleague of mine has just bought 6 for his friends and family!! I wonder if Woolies will honour the price?

Can't get on the website at all now. It just times out. They're either amending it or the word's got round and the site is busy.

Merry Christmas!!!

Did it work for him? I get to the point where I need to confirm the order and then the site goes down.

Wondering if there are any scheme going around to get people CC details...

They have cancelled every order that I know of, even though they originally accepted them.

The Woolies web site T&C's cover them making this sort of error.

Something similar happened a while back when John Lewis made an error on their website and had 6 bottles of white wine advertised for £2 - at the time I was working at our local hospital in the IT Department and most of the department had ordered some wine.

Just like Woolworths the orders were initially accepted. Then after a couple of hours John Lewis sent some emails out, stating that their was an error and that the orders had been cancelled.

Nobody received anything.

Haha.....

It never fails to amaze me that people think a company will honour such a collossal mistake like this, they almost certainly never ever will supply any plain and simple.

As for greedy people ordering 6... I almost hope they get charged full whack hehehe

I hope YOU do pay more attention to these things - if you check T&C's on the website, in situations like this, Woolies couldn't charge full price without agreeing with the customer first. Either that or cancelling the order altogether.

As for the "potential colossal mistake", it's across the Sharp LCD HD TV models, not just this one. And this makes people think of their "good faith" - someone above just gave an Example of J.Lewis and there were some others in the last couple of weeks.

A while back (can't remember the details), some company put the "." in the wrong place and sold some very expensive electrical equipment for about £2. Thousands bought them and customer complainsts meant they honoured the purchases! It was reported by DS a year or two back if anyone wants to use the search function
