Christmas without a Sir Cliff tune is like a guitar without strings. You know you all love Sir Cliff and anyone that denies it is having a giraffe

If Cliff makes it number 1 either this week or in the next couple of years then it will mean that Cliff holds the record for a no 1 in every decade since the 50s

I'm certain Take That will hold on to no1 for another week, they're too far ahead, although I still think it would be nice to see a christmas song at the top for a change.

Well who cares anyway? It's usually a horrible novely Xmas song that ends up at No. over Christmas.

The rest of the year you'd never dream of buying it. It's just some sort of Xmas madness that takes over some people.

Take That got knocked off by Mr. Bloody Blobby in 1993.

I think they're chuffed to bits to have the No. 1 album and single at the same time so I hope they hang on till Christmas but I don't think they'll be too upset anyway. I don't know anybody who possesses a Cliff Richard song. Who are you? I'm guessing old people who don't come onto music forums.

All the compilation albums will get in the Top 10 this week and albums go back up the chart so it all goes a bit haywire.

That well used phrase of 'who cares' which is short hand for 'I don't care'

Who have thought that releasing Christmas songs at Christmas would be a good idea? In the 50 odd years that the charts have been going, how many of the Christmas number ones have been novelty songs?

I'm not old but then I don't know what your definition of old is but I do possess songs by Sir Cliff. Are you saying that you and anyone that you know are fine but those that have a different taste to you have something wrong with them? I would put money on you knowing someone that has a record or two by Sir Cliff.

You don't know everybody and you don't like Sir Cliff but millions do, which would answer you rhetorical question of 'who cares'

My son who DJ's, some time ago borrowed a Cliff cd from me and without mentioning who it was, played it at a gig, the "youngsters" wanted to know who the new guy was and what the track was. He never did reveal who the track was by but he said the whole place was up and dancing.

Even funnier was he only normaly played heavy metal, but I think it proves a point!!!
