AV sender question

From what I can tell AV senders require connection from the scart output of your equipment (sky box, DVD, freeview box or whatever)

Is this the case or can they take RF inputs? (all my scart outputs are currently in use) Alternatively do they have twin scarts for passthrough?

If not could I take the Sky RF output 2, route it into my redundant VCR and use the VCR's scart output to connect to the transmitting sender?
