Are there any tracks from Quo that are not usually heard. Album tracks, Bsides ETC. I can think of songs like lonely night from the break the rules Bside

I remember the first Quo single.........God, how old does that make me............it was 'Pictures of Matchstick Men'

But the B side was terrific.........'Gentleman Joe's Sidewalk Cafe'...........don't think that gets played much these days...........

Hard to believe...

But Quo WERE once in the 70's a truly great rock band.

Piledriver,Quo,Hello etc were all great albums.Between 1970 and 1976 Quo were top rate. From 1977 to around 81-82,they were still good if slightly off their peak.

Id listen to those early albums esp Piledriver which is a very blues based album and has some lovely bluesy songs such as 'A Year','All the Reasons' and perhaps the loveliest thing they ever wrote,'Unspoken Words' which is a lovely slow blues with some great haunting guitar work.

Other 70's classics are:

Forty Five Hundred Times (many Quo diehards fav)
'Railroad'(great heavy blues rocker)
Dont Waste My Time
Roll Over Lay Down
Gerdundula (both the acoustic and electric versions)
Junior's Wailing
Down The Dustpipe
Spinning Wheel Blues
Lazy Poker Blues
Mean Girl
April Spring Summer and Wednseday
Softer Time
Big Fat Mama
Most of the Time( semi-slower song)
Lakky Lady ( an acoustic song but quite a heavy rocker)
Broken Man (short more poppy but still rock)
Living on an Island (1979)
Accident Prone (again more pop but still enough of a heavy rock feel)

ALL real classics and still great songs.....

Note: some good preview clips here:
